LG 37LC2D - no picture but STBY and green LED

A co-worker brought me an LG 37LC2D that stopped working. Plugged it in and saw the red LED light. Pushed the PWR button and LED went green, but no picture or sound. Stripped the covers off to expose the MB, PS and other boards. Immediately notice that there were two bulging capacitors in the secondary side of the PS. Replaced both and she fired right up. Not positive, but the make of these caps were SANWAH (?) 1000uf @25 VDC. Circuit component numbers were C237 and C234.

I recapped them all in the secondary side and it has been working fine, I believe TOM66 found bad 3.3V power supply section on this power supply board that burnt up due to bad caps also.

If you search the forum using the model number, there will be many threads on this model. Also watch out for dirty contact in the remote IR input jack in the back if the remote does not work.

Hi there, I'm trying to fix an lg 37lc2d tv the problem that I have is that when I connect tv the green light blinks about 14 times and then it comes steady but I have no sound and video and optical output light is off, I have checked 19, 6, 3.4 and 5 volts and it seems to be ok, I can turn on the tv if I press a button on the main board that seems to be reset, the optical light turns on and about 2 seconds tv turns on, and if I disconnect and connect "3.4v on" pin from p201 tv turns on too. Another thing that I found is that 12v when I haven't pressed reset button is about 11.3v but when I press it goes to about 9v and in less a second when backlight turns on it goes to 12v
