Re: sanyo no back ligth
Same issue with the same model as the original OP? If it is it may be better to start a new thread as this one is getting long. Make sure to upload good clear pictures of your boards.

Re: sanyo no back ligth
If you don't want it, ship the TV to me, I'll take it and keep it for myself and finish the repairs. Thanks.

Re: sanyo no back ligth
All those solder pads for the SMD Zener, transistors, resistors are on the bottom side of the board, you cannot access them from the top side of the board.

Re: sanyo no back ligth
ok, is the testing on the green part of the board or on the top part?

OK take the DC voltage reading next. With TV plugged in and power switch activated.

Re: sanyo no back ligth
ok this is what i got zd601 =.6, pin 16 on IC 301 with ground on c821 = beep but not reading, Q602=.6, Q303=.6 on e, 1.7 on b, R603 and R320 beep but not reading. Nothing, not even beep on C809,C808,R805,R806,R807

Re: sanyo no back ligth
Unplug the TV from the outlet to check when checking the resistance.
And by the way, what are the IC P/N I request so we will know what operating voltage on pin 16 should be (now I assume that the line I trace from the pictures is correct)Last edited by budm; 01-01-2013, 05:29 PM.

Re: sanyo no back ligth
Please read post 168, turn on TV to check voltages, turn off TV to check resistance.

Re: sanyo no back ligth
Board should have no power applied when testing diodes or resistances.
