OK, so now you do get the LED to be on, but still no backlights?

Bud, he has 3.7V at BL_ON with the 1K resistor in place and he has the wire cut now.

You will put the cn6 connector back in place, but cut the BL_ON wire, leave it long enough so you van splice the wire back together once we fix the problem, that is how I troubleshoot misterd philips TV.

With the TV turned on check the voltage now at BL_ON on connector CN6 and see what it is.

    Here it is again
He is saying plug connector CN6 back in and to just cut the one BL_ON wire into that's on CN6, leave it at least 3 inches long at the end going to that connector (CN6) so you will be able to splice it back together later, Leave the resistor where it is and turn on the TV and see if you now have backlights.

You already have this done.... connect the resistor between PIN1 (5vstby) and pin3 (BL_ON) of CN6. So leave the resistor in place. Now just cut the one wire into like I said above, this way it is no longer connected to the mainboard, then follow the steps I said by turning on the TV and see if you have backlights.

I don't think you have to do anything with CN2, he's just saying you have 2 different 5VSTBY Sources.

OK, it also uses pin 1 of CN6 for supplying the 5VSTBY to board beside 5vstby on CN2.
when you said wire, are you refering to the resistor i put on?

If you pan along the white line in the middle to the hole
Just below the hole there are 3 resistors and next to them
C902 Just below that there is an odd bit of solder?
May not be doing any harm but can you check it out.

Just don't cut it right close to the pin or you won't be able to reconnect it easily.
