    Pioneer pro1000HD no picture

Just picked this one up- won't turn on, clicks and shut off.

I unplugged the y-buffer from the Ysus board and viola- the bottom half lit up, and I can see the menu etc.

NOW- I cannot find the board number for the Y-buffer, or how to remove it (it is housed in an aluminum frame)

    Help!

NVM- The y-buffer boards are non-serviceable.... I will part this one out.

      Are you sure?
Bonded to the panel on this model? (very early NEC plasmas used bonded to panel buffers.)

Yep- bonded tot he board UGH. I'll have to figure out how to recoup my loss on this one, lesson learned.

I think I am going to stick to one or two brands and year ranges to keep it simple.

Panasonic produce the best plasma displays (IMO) and LG produce some very good ones in the 50"+ category, they've got a few issues with inferior capacitors though...
Samsung plasma displays get a thumbs down from me. Far too many failures.
