Anyone know anything about why this might be happening? I have the same issue with my 42PF7320/98. It remains on for a while(random amount of time) before shutting off on its own. I have to unplug the unit for a bit and plug it back in for it to turn on again. Since the time is random and I haven't been around when it shuts off, I haven't been able to see if or how many times the red light blinks afterwards. I've read in another forum that some people fixed this issue by adding a heat sink on top of one of the chips. I'm not quite sure which chip, though, because the model in that thread had slightly different placements of boards than my model(the model discussed in that thread was the 42PF7320). Also, I already have the back open and all the capacitors seem to look fine. I know that doesn't mean they are actually fine but I don't have a meter at the moment to check each one individually. Any help would be appreciated. Please bear in mind that I'm a beginner at dealing with electricity but I can do simple tasks such as replacing capacitors.

I just noticed that the TV doesn't actually turn off, the screen just goes blank but the green LED is still solid. When I press buttons on the remote, I know the TV is detecting the action because the green LED blinks as I press the buttons but nothing is displayed on the TV(if I press the volume up or down, the volume bar doesn't show as it normally would). Again, this is fixed by unplugging the TV for a few minutes and plugging it back in. What do you guys think the problem could be?
