Hello, I have used this forum to find fixes for several monitors and TVs but couldn't find any relating to this issue so this is my first post. The TV will turn on with a messed up screen(IMG_830). I opened it up to check the caps and for loose connections nothing was bad that I could find. When I apply a slight pressure to the upper right corner the TV works fine (IMG_832). I let go and it freezes (IMG_834). If I twist the top again it works fine (IMG_835). If I twist it gently and slowly let go it will stay working sometimes. Does anyone know what could be causing this? When the TV was apart I turned it on and tried jiggling cables and applying pressure to different boards to isolate a loose connection of some sort but no dice, this particular twist is the only thing that makes it work. Thanks in advance for any ideas as to what the issue may be.

It is just lousy screen.
The trick is that you have you to get the pressure at the right spot and the pad stays in place, I used double sided tape, when you put it all back together.Never stop learning

Yes, they are correct, I used a rigid kind of sponge and it worked just fine. It's getting there to put in the sponge that is a real nightmare since sometimes you have to strip the tv apart. Good luck.Comment

Re: Samsung LN26A330J1DXZA weird issue
Well I got it fixed thanks for all the help. Turns out the cowling that holds the lcd panel in place was pushing one of the ribbons in causing the malfunction. It worked fine whenever the cowling was off then would be bad with it back on. My solution was a bit of insulation tape slid back behind the ribbon so that it could not be pushed back by the cowl. Works great now. Thanks again for the help!Comment

by KjellAfter installing Linux, I can no longer enter the BIOS of my Samsung Series 9 (NP900X3C) laptop. When pressing [F2] during boot I simply get a black screen. Same thing when pressing [F10] and choosing "Setup" from the "App Menu" tab. Apparently this is a relatively common issue with Samsung laptops of that generation, but unfortunately i haven't been able to resolve the issue (yet).
Things i've tried so far; reinstalled Windows 10, checked for redundant boot entries, tried to factory reset using the emergency keyhole, attempted to clear the NVRAM by physically...08-01-2025, 09:15 AM -

by NairolfHello,
I have a Samsung DM32D display.
When I try to power it on, the red LED blinks 5 times and nothing happens—the unit won’t start.
Here’s what I have tried so far:- Disconnected the cable between the mainboard and the power supply → the backlight turns on.
- Disconnected the main T-CON ribbon cable → same issue as before, the LED still blinks 5 times.
- Disconnected one of the two T-CON ribbons to the panel (tested each one separately) → same issue, the LED blinks 5 times.
From these tests, I suspect the problem might be on the mainboard. Could anyone...3 Photos08-24-2025, 03:47 AM -
by vincentedelHello,
I'm having an issue with the Samsung 740n's phase control setting. When I use the automatic adjustment, it sets the value to around 54 (with a range of 0-100), and the picture looks clear and sharp. However, after some time—like after playing a game—the text starts to look blurry. When I auto-adjust again, it may increase the value to 80, and everything becomes sharp once more. Yet, after a while, whether it's a few hours or a day later, the same blurriness returns, and I have to adjust it again.
I'm using the Samsung 740n monitor drivers instead of the default plug-and-play...-

by ManucslHello.
My TV is a QE65Q800TATXXC Samsung TV.
Issue : When you plug the 220V, voltages are OK on the power board and you can hear the click from the relay, but TV is not starting when power button is pressed. Red led is blinking when you press power button. But no images or sound ( Back-light is off )
Then if you disconnect the cable from the main board to the power supply, the TV back-light turns on.
Any ideas to check would be very appreciated 😊
