Re: phillips lcd keeps blowing fuse
I dont know much about this TV if it was a lighting strike that damaged the board could that effect the other boards?

Re: phillips lcd keeps blowing fuse
just pulled SA1601 it's bad then i pulled C6106, C1605 there bad then I checked the other side of transformer and more were bad..pulled 12 in total of this type all bad. Had to recheck my meter with good cap I was thinking it was messing up.. but it's good.
checked other resistors bad. must have been a massive surge on this board? time to buy another boardLeave a comment:

Re: phillips lcd keeps blowing fuse
Ok, the reading that you got from the resistor and the capacitor are correct readings for those. Resistor's ohm values will vary from resistor to resistor, in this case, this resistor should have read high and it did read high. The other resistor that you measured that read 269 most likely is a 270 ohm and reads fine as well (red violet brown are its colors probably).
Anyways... The other component I spoke of earlier was SA1601. you can check this one as well.Leave a comment:

Re: phillips lcd keeps blowing fuse
the third component? I thought it was the 2 transformers the resistor and capacitor?Leave a comment:

Re: phillips lcd keeps blowing fuse
the probes apart it reads 1. I've been calling that 0 and I probably shouldn't have. probes together reads 0. setting the meter to 2 K on a brand new resistor reads 269. reversing the probes I get the same reading. when I try this on the resistor I pulled from the board I'm getting a 1. testing the capacitor the same way I'm getting a 1 in fact no matter what setting I use I get 1. testing a new 2200uf 35v with a meter set to 2m I get .740 and -.295
the only time I could get a reading with the Transformers was to set the meter to 200 and the reading was .002Leave a comment:

Re: phillips lcd keeps blowing fuse
What happened to the 3rd component I wanted you to check?
Help me to help you. When checking resistance (horseshoe) - If you put your meter leads together, what does the meter read? With the leads apart what does it read?Leave a comment:

Re: phillips lcd keeps blowing fuse
I would just run it for testing purposes until I ordered the correct capacitor. I tested the new resistor 270 olm retest the old one and it is apparently bad. yes i am getting 1 on meter.
so I would need to download the service manual to find the correct specifications on the resistor? in order to replace it with a correct one.Leave a comment:

Re: phillips lcd keeps blowing fuse
You can run the TV briefly without it. It will emit a lot of radio-interference so could be a hazard to CB operators but otherwise shouldn't be an issue. If you can ensure TV will always be in US or Canada (115V only), a class-X 250V cap should be fine. (An ordinary cap could be a fire hazard.) You can't use a 250V cap in 230V areas -- minimum is 315 or 330V for some reason...Leave a comment:

Re: phillips lcd keeps blowing fuse
OK... that cap seems bad!!
Just to check, meter leads not touching, reads single "1".Leave a comment:

Re: phillips lcd keeps blowing fuse
the meter was set to 200. I measured the resistor on the board the capacitor out of the board.Leave a comment:

Re: phillips lcd keeps blowing fuse
so i would think c1602 and r1609 is bad.
what setting did you have your meter on. 20M, 200K, 20K, 200?
and when you measured they were out of the board right. you tested in both directions?Leave a comment:

Re: phillips lcd keeps blowing fuse
R1609 is 0 no reading at all on meter. tested other resistors of same type tested good. pulled C1602 dead 0 on meter. wanted to make sure i was testing the cap correct. tested on new cap. new cap test ok! so bad cap and resistor?Leave a comment:

Re: phillips lcd keeps blowing fuse
I pulled 1601 and 1602 showing 00.2 ohms on both. did i need to test something on the board with these removed?Leave a comment:

by DannyxGood day folks......wow this new layout is weird. It's like I woke up one day and I'm no longer on Planet Earth or something
Anyway....got this here power brick from a USB to SATA adapter which keeps blowing the fuse after I almost repaired it. The reason I even bother to fix a power brick (wall wart, whatever) in the first place is because this thing was really convenient to use: I'd just plug it and that's it. It's a dual output supply, for both 12v and 5v, which although I COULD easily obtain with a DC-DC converter from a standard 12v adapter, I thought I should crack open the... -
by TipsLooking for some assistance please.
Trying to repair a PD27AOQ samsung power board.
Initially had the typical problem of cm806 capacitor blown, additionally thermistor NT801s blown.
Replaced the ceramic capacitor, str60252s, bridge rectifier, thermistor and fuse.
Testing it the fuse blows immediately power is turned on.
diodes dm852 and dm853 test as shorted when in the board but fine when removed.
any assistance, guidance would be appreciated. -
by RogerH58Hi all,
I am a newbie and not very experienced so bear with me if i struggle sometimes with technical language - but I'll do my best. I searched "Samsung" and the model number on the forum but didn't find anything I could understand!
I'm not an electronics guy - just picked up stuff over the years through my flight-simming hobby.
I have the above mentioned 46" tv as the monitor for my flight-sim setup. Recently it went "crack" and stopped working. No standdby light and no response. I assumed a fuse had blown and after investigation... -
by corrizeHello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping... -
by Bootleg1Hi all, so i was watching tv acreen went black and no sound. Traced problem to blown tcon fuse. Replaced and it blows replaced again samething. So my tcon fuse keeps blowing. I bought a new board havent installed yet infear its just going to keep blowing the fuse. If i only connect the right side ribbon cable the fuse doesnt blow but as soon as i connect the left cable my tcon fuse instantly blows and no picture. The right side picture works clear as day and left side picture is grey (picture attatched) im hoping its a bad tcon board itself or a cable or anything and not the panel. Thank you for...
