HP S5053 55" LCD TV monitor black screen with sound

I have an hp S5053 that when turn on the screen is black, but there is defenetly sound, even when I plug an xbox the sound of the xbox is there but no picture. any help will be grea

Is the backlight on? (should see a dim glow) or an image with a flashlight?

Or that's the model code for a Samsung? and therefore that would be a plasma, making the question irrelevant (of course there could still be a glow).

well there is no glow on the screen and defenetly the backlight seem not to work

Ok we are probably looking at a problem with Y section of the TV.
Got a multimeter?
Test outputs of the power supply just to confirm voltages are as they should be and then check the fuses on the Y sustain board and x sustain too.

they power supply seem to be fine, do you know which section is the one where the power inverter is?

What do you mean by power inverter?
You have the main power supply which then goes into your sustain boards.
There is no inverter board if that's what you meant; those are on LCDs....if HPS5053 is the right model code then this is a plasma.
