DA0G7EMBAE0 need help to find the missing 3.3V regulator
    by rookieme
Well it seems the board had some minor liquid damage and somebody had tried before to repair it.
Currently it has the 19V but I noticed that the 3.3V regulator is missing.
The 5V one is the RT6258C and the 5V LDO works fine.
What part could I try for the 3V?
The is no schematics available for this one but I guess some similar model could use the same configuration.

How do I find the correct capacitors?
    by greystash
I recently recapped my first computer (Power Mac 6100) and it seemed to go ok. After trying to boot it I get a crackly boot chime and then I hear the crash sound.

How do I know if the replacement capacitors are suitable? (I am a total newbie and should have done a bit more research obviously)

    Original capacitors labelled:
Y4 (I believe this is the batch number?)
    47
    16V

On my other 6100 they are labelled:
    Small rectangle and then "4E"
    47
    16V

    Replacement capacitors: (aluminum polymer solid-electrolyte...

How to find the correct Mosfet on a laptop I need to replace
    by MaineFix
I don't know if this is the correct forum or if I should be posting in another one. I have a broken mosfet that needs to be replaced on a yoga motherboard.
    The mosfet is labeled:
    SM
    3424n
    CX427

I have found a replacement before searching a combination of these number but this one is giving me issues.
Am I going about this wrong?

Advice and any and all tips is greatly appreciated.

How to find the Correct GPU BIOS
    by taxxin
I find myself getting stuck at this stage and is easily the most frustrating part of a repair exercise, after repairing a GPU its hard to tell whether the BIOS is not correct or if the card has a faulty GPU CHIP?

Is there a way to tell which is the correct bios without having to rely on being able to pull an original BIOS from a card? for example Mining cards with bios flashed?

Perhaps a way to match up by using a serial number?

Because Ive had times where Ive flashed a bios for the same brand, model, edition and ram chip brand, but still wont work?...
