How to find the correct Mosfet on a laptop I need to replace

I don't know if this is the correct forum or if I should be posting in another one. I have a broken mosfet that needs to be replaced on a yoga motherboard.
    The mosfet is labeled:
    SM
    3424n
    CX427

I have found a replacement before searching a combination of these number but this one is giving me issues.
Am I going about this wrong?

Advice and any and all tips is greatly appreciated.

        Hi Diif,

        Thank you very much.
So if I wanted to buy mosfets for my shop, should I buy multiple of one or is there a package bundle I could buy? I want be prepared for a lot more issues that come my way.
I know I can buy books of caps and resistors is there any bundle of mosfets?

I've bought a selection of AO mosfets a seller had put together in the past but they don't come in books like the caps and resistors.
