Can you use GO ADVANCED and post better/larger pictures? I would like to see good pictures of the inverter board to the left side, also good closed up of the connectors of all the boards.

          Thank you for the responses

I tried the flashlight , nothing , still pitch black LCD
Also tried every cable again , make sure it's plugged in correctly , again nothing
          No sound either

          Here are some better pictures

          Thanks

What are your output voltages from the power supply board?

Usually Vizio has marked what the voltage should be 5V 12V 24V sbV....So you need a volt meter to check them. This is where I would start. If you have 5V standby voltage and nothing else, I would check the voltage regulators on the main board.

Sorry to do this to you XmouseX but I don't know how to fully use my multimeter so I made a chart of the multimeter with numbers . On each slot , there is 2 multimeter function that I can change with the yellow button . Which number is the one for the voltage metter ?

I took pictures of the power board , I see where it says how many volts it needs to be , however

                A) does the tv need to be on when I'm measuring it and
                B) On the multimeter , obviously I connect the red needle to where it says the volts , but do I touch the black needle to where it says GND (ground) ? There is a few GND , is any of them ok ?

                Thanks again for your help

If you click on the images , they expand and you can see the numbers on the power board better , however you can see the multimeter picture better if it's not expanded , go figure

when Checking output voltage put the meter on #3 setting(DC voltage). Leave your test probes plugged in the way that they are. You need to have the TV powered on. Put the black test lead to a ground screw(the ones that hold the circuit board down) and place the red lead into the back of the connectors where it says 24V 12V 5V. It should tell you if there is voltage there and if they are correct. Once you have tested those outputs, let me know what you have found. DO NOT touch the capacitors while the TV has power to it!!!! Try not to touch anything you are not testing. Safety is #1 here.

Fluke 179 is a very nice meter. You need to set it on DC volts though for it to work.

I noticed they were pretty lose when I was moving them (I'm talking about the single cable connections) , I can see the little metal connectors inside the plastic moving easily when I was moving the cable . I tried turning ON-OFF the TV and moving the cables to see if they will make a better connection but the screen remained pitch black

OK, you are getting PS (PS_ON) OK to turn on the 12v/4v but the 12v/24v still do not run, so the problem right now is on the power supply board. But just to sure you should disconnect the cable to the inverter board and see if you will get 12v/24v.
Check the DC voltage on that 450vdc cap in the primary side right at the two legs of the cap, it should have about 390~400vdc on that cap. Just be careful not to touch anything with your hands.

Sorry, Got stuck watching the Elections....I have come across bad regulators on the main board that were bad, causing the power supply not to put out the voltage needed. Budm knows his stuff though

I tried unplugging the inverter , the voltage was even lower , some were 0.001 except the 5v , it was still 4.999 . It looks like the Power board is the problem .

I appreciate helping me figure out that it was the power supply board . I owe you guys . Special thanks to XmouseX and budm

Already ordered the board and will post the results when it comes so other people too can use the help .

Will post again if I can't figure something with other TV's , you guys are very knowledgeable and this hobby keeps me out of trouble . THANKS AGAIN !
