Look at page 2 of the power supply SCH I supply.
    Have ALL the boards connected.
Check Q422 (for 12V Linear regulator circuit), IC407 for burnt sign
Check the resistance between chassis GND and LCD+B, GND and SW+12v to see if one of them show low resistance.
Since it is running now, verify that 12V is still at 12V.
Just for testing, you can put DCA meter with peak hold in series with the fuse to see what the inrush current and the steady state current is.

It would have been much safer to have soldered a fuse across the legs. Taking a chance as you said on this occasion paid off but could well have compounded your problem and increased your repair costs.

Okay so, this is what I've did, yes I'm stupid but I took a risk and it paid of, next week I'm going to buy the same kind of fuse but 2A 125V as I can't find 1.6A. The TV worked perfectly after this.

Can't really see the colours but it does look like yellow/brown/yellow/xxx which would be 404x so looks like the fuse. However changing it may well just blow it again if there's a fault on that section.

    Edit
    10Mohm = open circuited.

Ignore the above as it would be 414 if following the resistor colour chart not 404 as I said.

Just did a resistance test on the so called F404, 10Moms, What could this mean?

Okay so I've been reading around about this and I've found that sometimes the fuse F404 goes bad, I'm not sure if this is a fuse of some sort but it says next to this I'd say resistor F404. I've checked it with my multimeter and it shows as if the fuse is blown. Is this a fuse?
Here are all three photos I made: NEXT POST edited.

Maybe someone can still help me? I check the scheme that Budm posted and I'm getting the Green power led for some reason, I can't go back to stand-by, the moment I plug the tv to DC I it turns green. I checked the voltages with my multimeter, I'm getting the 24/22.4V, but where it says SW +12v I'm getting only 5.2V. I can't see anything burned or anything like that

How about some good clear pictures of the board and the part in question? We have no idea what the part is without seeing the pictures, we do not have the board in front of us to look at.

If you look at the diagram of the 12v/24v power supply section, there is no PS_ON that typically turn on the IC. The power supply is powered up when the main board turns on the power relay which will supply the 120/230VAC to the power supply bridge rectifier.
On the output side of the power supply you will see Diode D449, 446, 447, 456 which are setup as OR gate to detect if ALL the output voltages are present, if any one of the output is not present, it will turn on Q415 Protection circuit., You will have to disconnect the load and see if ALL the outputs are present when relay is on, since the shutdown will happen very fast you may need fast meter or scope to see the outputs.

Further from Post 10.If I need to do tests with the PSU out then I need to be able to switch it on !! with a Monitor usually a 1K resistor acros the 5v line would do that,BUT what do I have to do to turn this on ???

To date after some tests then.F404 is O/C, and replacement does not blow, but still same fault symptoms. The UNREGULATED 12v into the input side of the fuse, starts at 14v and steadily drops of to a steady 1.2v(fuse still O/C at this time). No 24v on CP406,again still steady 1.2v.If I disconnect CP411 from the main board then there is no unregulated 12v at all.

OK, since the power relay for the switched 12v/24v does click on, that means the function of that main board is working, we need to check and see if we do have 12v, 24v or not at connectors CP411, 406, 412.

OK, I just downloaded all the pictures, here is the service manual:

I will have to look closely at all the pictures and the service manual before I can back to both of you.

I have just purchased the exact same TV,same as these boards exactly, same fault,Relay operated,Green Power light and that is it.Extremely difficult to take voltage measurements as the connectors do not allow easy turning over of the Power board, and none of them have any voltages etc indicated for the pins. All the caps have been ESR tested and are fine. One other pointer, maybe,is that the small fan on top of the CI slot does not come on, and there is no voltage input to the 12v voltage regulator that drives it.Have taken the Inverter off with no difference to the power lamp.Need to eliminate either the PSU of the AV Board, even if its necessary to buy a replacement of the faulty one ??

I have finally found time to remove the back of the TV today to get some pics. I also found at my local amenity site, a Sharp Aquos LC-20AD5E-BK and with a smashed screen but you can still get a picture. I hoped the tcon would be the same but no joy. Didn't cost me anything and I enjoyed stipping it and putting back together all the same.

Anyway, I have had a good look around the 32" again and see nothing obvious through my amateur eyes but maybe you guys see something different.

Thanks again for having a look guys, now for the geek porn!!

Sharp Aquos LC-70C6400U Half Screen Dark
    by scubacamper
I found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display...

Sharp Aquos Lc-80LE757U flashing Sharp on screen when plugged in
    by sefoster
I have a Sharp Aquos LC-80LE757U that randomly made a loud popping noise when when watching TV one day. We found that the fuse blew and the thermistor. We ended up replacing the entire power supply board and have also replaced the TCON board. Now as soon as I plug the TV in it lights up and has the Sharp logo flashing on and off of the screen. If I unplug the ribbon cable from the TCON board to the main board I get the 2 long 5 short error code. Any ideas on where to go from here? We've tried resetting it but nothing has worked. If we plug it in and let it cycle through the flashing of the Sharp...

Sharp Aquos LC-40UG7252E LCD TV burn in?
    by jonah1024
    Hello!

I'm a few days old into this TV screens repair universe so please bear with me.

Recently, and all of a sudden my 40ā€ 4K Sharp Aquos LCD TV turned on with colors all smudged in some places on the screen that remain like that even without any kind of video source. I do have image but the colors are smudged/tinted/ washed out in patches as per defects. This to me looks similar to burn in but I’m shore this is not an OLED.

    - I did the classic unplug and hold power button to discharge the caps but it didn't help.
    - I did a factory reset as well...

    Sharp Aquos LC-60LE635E three blinks
    by klassic
    Hi community,

I will describe my problem with a TV in those short following terms to be the most precise :

    What i have :
    Sharp Aquos LC-60LE635E
    power board DPS-162KP-1
    main logic board QPWBXF733WJN2

    symptoms :
white led light logo at startup,
after 2 minutes, blinking 3 times a row, repeating
no backlight (and apparently no picture, checked panel with flashlight)
    no startup sound

    powerboard investigations :

    1-2 PNL : 0v
    3-4 GND
    5-6-7-8 UR : 13.15v

Sharp Aquos LC-32LE600E, No 12v as no PNL_POW
    by foxyUK
Can anyone help me diagnose this? Almost not worth bothering with, but it has 'sentimental value' for the owner. I'm no TV technician, but dabble a bit.
The TV has standby power but no reaction at all to switching on or reboot steps, No flashing lights or response to menu button. All voltages on the power board are correct apart from missing voltage on pin 12 of CN7003.
There is 13 v on U7053 but no 3v signal to switch it on. I don't really understand whether the 3v should come from U7401 in the standby control area, or (as suggested elsewhere) from the mainboard via pin 12....
