This is my first post here asking a question and I am a new member.I hope I can be of help in the future but at the moment I am the one that needs help
I run a small shop here in Maine and got this samsung LN37A550pxfza.This set came in with a washed out picture after a thunder storm,meaning its clear just washed out.like very low contrast or lack of.I reasearched on line and this set has a problem with main boards as well as t-conn boards even bad LCD panels.
Well...I figured (wrong) that it was the main board since it it seem like a software problem so I picked up a board from shop Jimmy pluged it in and same exact problem.Well the t-conn board is not only hard to get but very expensive as far as used t-conn boards go,if you can even find one they go for 100$.So ive held off on that repair since I have 75 into the main board.Well here is the reason for my post...I just got in an Insignia NS Lcd42hd-09 its problem is withthe intermittant half screen good othe side blank or works fine after warm up.(btw This is a common problem with this set online)could be a t-conn or panel but to MY AMAZMENT the t-conn board looks like the exact same board as the samsungs except the samsung is T370HW02 V402 37T04-c02 AUO and the Insignia is T420HW02 vo 42T04-C04 T420HW02V0 The only difference in the 2 boards is the 420 has 3 small chip caps way to the left and way to the right just to the right of the ribbon and the left of the ribbon just below these spots are blank (No caps) on the t370 board all I would like to see is the washed out image go away on the 37 in samsung and the half screen problem creep in intermittantly this way I wouldnt have 2 buy 2 t-conn boards just to see if the tv's are worth fixing.
