I have a Panasonic TC-P50G15 plasma television and it's giving me 7 blinking lights. I have tried isolating the boards. When disconnecting the SC board I get 6 blinking lights. Then I isolated the SD board it gives me a solid red light and a long humming beeping noise. The SC board when isolated just gives me the 7 lights again. So, what does the loud humming beeping noise mean?

Re: Panasonic TC-P50G15 7 lights
I'm confused by your fault finding steps with the SC board.
Initial SOS7, SC disconnected SOS6, SD disconnected SOS7, SC isolated SOS7?
Did you mean SU,SD,SC?
Not sure about the noise but you can't just disconnect the upper and lower buffer individually in these later models for fault finding.
I've recently fixed a 13th gen and 12th gen panasonic.
The 12th gen equivalent to your US tc-42px14 US model started as a 7 blink and was SC board fault.
I know if the SC is completely isolated it will give SOS7 which can be SC or SD/SU.
This is what i would do. Disconnect SD & SU, jumper white 2 pin connector SC50 on the SC board TNPA4782.
Power on set and see if it turns on normally(no picture though). If it still faults and you see SOS6, I'd head for the SC board which I'm expecting it to be.
If no SOS then I would think it's the SU/SD. I'm assuming the panel is good on this TV.
This TV uses the same SC,SD,Su,SS boards

Re: Panasonic TC-P50G15 7 lights
The humming sound makes me raise an eyebrow. Unless you are getting the sound confused with normal frequency sound associated with the sustain boards. And like tw2005 said I'm also confused. If uou have sd connected and sus boards are work g then suspect su bad that's if the su board disconnected.Did I leave the soldering iron on?

Re: Panasonic TC-P50G15 7 lights
Yes, sorry about confusion.
1. Everything connected I get 7 blinking red lights.
2. With the SC board disconnected from P board and from the SS board, I get 6 blinking lights.
3. With the SC board connected and the SD board disconnected from SU and SC with the jumper wire on sc50 I get solid red light and a long beeping noise.
4. Then pretty much reverse step 3, with the SU board disconnected from SD and SC with the jumper wire on sc50 I get 7 blinking red lights.
This is where I got the steps to do the board isolation precedures:

Re: Panasonic TC-P50G15 7 lights
Did you ever get this figured out? I have a G10 series that I am having the same problems with. I get the 7 blinking lights and when I unplug the SC board it switches to the 6 blink code. I really have no idea what I am doing but I have been following some of the suggestions I have found to troubleshoot it and also have the tech guide but im still at a loss. Can anyone help me? Thank you!!!

Re: Panasonic TC-P50G15 7 lights
I've got the same problem with a TC-P50S1. 7 blinking red lights, if I disconnect the SC board I get 6 blinking lights. If instead I disconnect the board on the oppsite side(can't remmember what it is called) I still get 7 blinking lights. I also tried disconnecting the upper and lower boards connected to the SC board but, this did not make a difference so, I believe the SC board is my problem. It has the glued on heatsinks so, I can't see if anything is blown. Everything visable looks fine. I can't seem to find a price under $130 for a board. Any suggestions where to get cheap parts?

Edit: Might want to check recent posts, looks like you've got TC-P50S1 info on the VIZIO post and VIZIO info here on the Panasonic post.Last edited by tw2005; 09-16-2013, 06:51 AM.

Re: Panasonic TC-P50G15 7 lights
I'm having exactly the same issue when trying to diagnose the 7 blinks condition on a th-50px60u. When I unplug SC20 from the SC board, I get a solid red light and a loud buzzing sound. Same happens when I unplug SC2 and SC20 together. Doesn't fit any of the diagnostic procedures that I've come across.
Quick question, when one says jumper SC50 when isolating SD and SU boards - where is that jumpered to?
