    Andersson (Vestel) won't turn off

Hello to all. I have a problem with Andersson Tv. Inside it there are Vestel boards Vestel 17MB35-4 060109 and Vestel 17PW26-4 PSU. It turns off but again turns on. All caps looks ok.

    Thanks in advance.

Unplug the button board and see if it still presents problems.

Ah. I forgot that Vestel TVs do that, which is annoying! Can you try plugging board in, turning TV on, turning off, then quickly unplugging it?

I tried that. It just turns on and it is like I pressed volume+. Just tried one thing. Warmed PSU with hairdrier at the area of big cap and small transformator. TV then goes off by itself.

Re: Andersson (Vestel) won't turn off

I think it is more likely to be a main board or button stuck (touch panel) issue myself. One thing you can check is the STBY pin on the PSU. It should be high (>=2V) in standby, low (~0V) when running. If it's going high when it should be off, it could be a PSU issue. Is it marked on your PSU?

It is like this.... Sometimes I get 0V when off, then it stays off. Then it powers up. Strange!!! Can it be tny266??? Cause I warmed that area and tv turns itself off...

Hmm, I suspect you may have a cold solder joint. The TNY266 is the standby power supply. If that fails TV will switch off. But it could be failing due to cold solder, which means other parts could have cold solder too. I would suggest you try resoldering anything that looks suspect.

Can you tell me from where does it gets standby voltage on pin??? I resoldered touch panel and didn't removed flux, so it powers on and off, and it holds volume-. Cleaned everything with alcohol and it is working normaly. But when it is in its place powers on and off... I suspect it has gremlins.

Re: Andersson (Vestel) won't turn off

Main board generates the signal when it receives a signal from remote control or touch panel.

Troubleshooting Vestel TV, has standby, but cannot turn ON
                      by Adenitz
                      Hello,
I need advice in troubleshooting Telefunken TV (it is actually Vestel). There is red Standby light but TV cannot be turned on either by remote control (which is good and tested on another TV) or by actual on/off switch at the back of the TV.
Power board is Vestel 17IPS71 and I'm not sure about the mainboard, it seems like 17MB82S
Both boards are shown in the attached photos.

What is normally first that is checked in this case. I have removed power board, make sure it has no dangerous voltage on the big caps and check many components (transistors and diodes)...

MSI GF63 THIN 11UCX (MS-16R6) LAPTOP WON'T TURN ON AFTER RESTARTING
                      by RdeveLabs
                      To all the members here...

Let me tell you a little bit about what happened to my laptop (MSI GF63 THIN 11UCX model: MS-16R6) that “maybe” you know how to solve this problem.

So before this problem happened, my laptop was running smoothly. When I wanted to restart my laptop, it looked fine at first. But after I waited for this restart process to take a long time, until finally I panicked (because the restart process did not finish plus the laptop screen only showed a black screen), I immediately pressed and held the power button to force the laptop to turn off. But...

Acer Aspire 4520 won't turn on after reboot
                      by robante15
Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 4520 from a couple of decades ago and I want to repair it solely for nostalgia.

It happens that when I turn it on after having been disconnected for a long time, it turns on without problems, it tells me that the BIOS has been reset and that it will load the factory settings, if I tell it to continue, the computer turns on and everything works fine.

The moment I turn it off and want to turn it back on a second time, or restart it and try to start it again, it no longer gives an image, and it no longer responds.

                      If I remove the...
