Yeah really quick I tried soldering new caps and it was a total disaster dam these flintstone hands. Thanks to my cool soldering skill's I burnt something up near the power supply area.Anyway im done with trying to soldering bad caps. So i want to just try and replace the board with this http://www.shopjimmy.com/polaroid-86...wer-supply.htm Just wondering will it work I mean it look the same to me and cheap.

Pull some boards out of junk or cheap electronics from garage sales or wherever and practice removing the caps, removing is the hardest part,(easy to damage the pads)watch every video and tutorial you can find on youtube, the thing i found is the solder on tv's is way harder to desolder than all my practice boards.Reflow the joint with new solder and wick it up a couple times first, seems to help well,Just make sure to check all caps on a board with a multimeter first to make sure there not holding a charge

Thanks guy for the quick response and advice. Youtube I been there thats what I was doing before my soldering iron arrived watching vids on youtube about soldering . They made it look so easy but turned out to be harder then I thought.Any way I think ill leave the soldering to the folks with steady hands.Yeah I think im just gonna go and just order that piece if it works it works if not losing 13 bucks aint that bad. Id say long live the CRT'S had mine for 8 years now and im still on it right this minute.Once again thanks for your response's
