What does the model number mean?

Found this web page that explains the meaning of HDTV model numbers for Sony, Samsung, Vizio, LG and Panasonic. May be useful to somebody.

Re: What does the model number mean?

    Also some things I've noticed.

    Samsung:
PN = North American plasma (Canada/US)
    PS = Europe/Pacific/South America plasma

    UE/LE = European LED-LCD/LCD (possibly also Pacific/South America - not sure)
    UN/LN = North American LED-LCD/LCD

    Panasonic:
    TH or TX prefix: Europe
TC prefix: US (possibly Canada too)
Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!
For service manual, schematic, boardview (board view), datasheet, cad - use our search.

Changing model number 5500 to 5510
      by diamon
I would like to place a Dell Latitude 5500 (black color) motherboard into a Dell Latitude 5510 (silver color) chassis .
How can I change the model number of this laptop?.
When you're entering the bios (F12), you see in the left corner Latitude 5500, I would like to have this changed into Latitude 5510

I have already edited the 5500 bios bin file with HxD, and changed the 5500 into 5510, but after re-flashing and soldering the chip back, the name in the left corner is still Dell Latitude 5510 (have entered the ServiceTag of the 5510 chassis).
      Have uploaded the original...

I believe Chip 2 is BIN is the main one as it contained the Windows product key, marked with XXXXX for now.

      SN: PF3G1REP
      MODEL: 20KW-00J1AU

PROBLEM: Turns on blank screen, charging circuitry motherboard looks good. I have tried another firmware here - but resulted in 5V will not go to 20v due to different PD firmware I believe - using the current firmware it does go to 20V.

Requesting a firmware clean/BIOS region cleaned. Here is output from ME Analyzer:

      Hello everyone.

My issue isn't massive, but I'd like to get this solved since I'm trying to fix a friend's laptop.

A botched BIOS update by Lenovo bricked this laptop, so I used my BIOS programmer to reflash the BIOS on it and saved it from an early demise. All is good now, but the BIOS reports the S/N, MTM and UUID...
