Samsung LE32C450 - No Screen - Has Backlight - Has Sound

    Hi all,

I have a Samsung LE32C450 which has a black/dark screen. The sound works (has a startup sound), and the backlight appears to be working.

I have checked for visible damages on capacitators, but cannot see any visible damages or leaks.

Any tips on what to check? I am quite new in the electronics field, but have repaired a tv before, and know how to solder.

    Thanks!

Please post good claer pictures of the back of the TV so we can see how all the boards are hooked. You may have dead T-CON board.

This TV has the integrated T-CON board LCD panel assembly which will be real hard to troubleshoot the T-CON. For now you can see if the T-CON is getting the DC voltage feeding it. On the first picture of the flat white ribbon cable, the first pin on the top of the connector should have DC voltage on it, it should be either 5V or 12V. Black probe of the meter will be on the metal chasis of the TV, be real careful not to slip the probe. Also take the voltage reading on the last pin on the bottom.

Thank you. I will take the measurements tomorrow. I was thinking that maybe the fuse is blown?

There is fuse on the T-CON board but you will have top remove the screen to get access to the T-CON assembly, this is the low end SAMSUNG TV.

i checked, it is getting 12v, so that should be ok. I also can see the f1 fuse, and might be able to troubleshoot that.

can you get to the fuse easy if so muti meter on dc volts black probe on metal chasis of the TV and put red lead on 1 side of fuse note voltage then put red probe on the otherside of the fuse note voltage.

You will have to remove the screen from the chassis to remove the metal cover that runs along the length of the bottom side of the LCD panel assembly. Onec you have it open, you will not be able to power it up to do any voltage test because the flat cable will not reach the main board any more. This may be the lost cause for this TV.

I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Hi I am new to this kind of repairs but I want to learn..I have a Samsung UN65JS8500F. the TV used to work and I tried to fix darker areas in the middle only ( img 1,2,3). I thought the led strip were bad..not the case. I did not research in advance what kind and where the LED were located. In this model they are located vertically on right and left side. Took the TV apart and put it back together. Now the tv shows no welcome screen and no sound is available thru the speakers. ..just a black screen..Backlight LED do turn on...also noticed a 5 blink code , not sure if that was there before. I can...

Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

Samsung TU8000, backlight and sound on, stuck in blue screen
                                          by mar1in
                                          Hi everyone,

I've got this Samsung here that would be stuck in a boot loop.
After opening up and doing the tape block method, I was able to get it to turn on and play sound from the HDMI input, but with a blue screen.

Does that mean there is another combination of pins that I need to block in order to get a picture, or is there something more serious, faulty mainboard or faulty panel?

                                          Thanks in advance

Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...
