    Lg 37lc2d

I search for this issue but could not find if it has been talked about so I am posting for help. Apologize if there is a thread out there with this explained, that being said here is my issue.

TV starts with taking time to power up and then not coming on like other tvs in other threads. So I took it apart and tested the voltages suggested. Everything checked out OK, so I hooked up an antenna and it worked fine. Came right on and stayed on. Put it back in the house and about a month later it did the exact same thing. I removed it again and took it to my shop to work on. It was a week before I got the chance to work on it and this is where it gets interesting.....

I decided to plug it in and it worked perfectly. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? It seems leaving it unplugged for some time and then plugging it back in makes it work fine. I do not want to reinstall it in my house until I figure out why this keeps happening.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    THANK YOU! ! ! ! !

Likely bad caps. As the TV is left alone for a while, the capacitors may behave better. Or, it could be cold solder joints. I have encountered problems with this TV before due to a bad capacitor.

Thanks for the info. Do you know what would be a fair charge to replace the caps? I have the board pulled and just do not have the correct soldering tools. I am going to get the caps myself(any good name brand?).
