    Vizio E470VL

Vizio E470VL will not turn on. Amber Vizio light comes on, but screen remains black and Vizio light will not turn white. TV is unresponsive to the remote control and manual button on the TV itself. If I press power on either the remote or the TV, nothing happens. It doesn't turn off and it doesn't turn on. The amber light remains lit up. Cannot change input, channel, etc. Nothing but a black screen with the Vizio light lit up amber. The amber light will only turn off if I unplug it. Will not turn white regardless of what I do. I opened up the back and I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I've attached a number of pictures.

    Thanks

I just finished writing How to test a voltage regulator. See my sig file below. It may or may not be your problem, but since it is a Vizio, it is worth 15 minutes of your time reading and testing it.

Test all fuses and list them with a numeric result eg main board F2 2.6 ohms
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

It sounds like you're having a problem like I just had with a 42 vizio. I fixed mine by replacing the mainboard the other day. The symptoms were the same. I had power out from the power supply to the mainboard, but no power was coming back from the main board to the power board.

Do a quick check of all of the regulators as previously suggested. They are usually 1117's that fail a lot on vizio's. Measure each leg to ground and post the readings here.
