I have same TV. I have to change the input board and I don't know how to connect the ribbon cables. Can someone please explain how?

I have a Emersom LC401EM2F. The antenna connection is broken. I need to replace the board that it is attached to. I am new to this kind of soldering. Is there a special way to remove the ribbons, or can I order the board with the ribbons already attached and splice them

After jacking with trying to track down the back components on this, I ended up getting a new power board.. All is working now.. Never could determine what was causing the fuse to blow..

I messed with it some last night... I tried all diff combos of boards unplugged..There are 2 flat cables that go from the main jack board to the digital HDMI board.. When I unhook those 2 cables, then it does not blow the fuse... But I still get NO life from the TV... I will try to get clearer pictures after the sun comes up and I have better light..

Pics too fuzzy did you test the cable try it with all the cables unplugged
except the one to the ps.

I am starting to think that the PS and this board both have some issues.. About ready to take the easy road and order the boards..

Looks like a short on the main board then? Picture s of both sides will be required.

Check the cable is not shorted/damaged. Pins bent touching etc - look at sockets for same.

Does the same diode show as short? When you removed the old diode, out of circuit, did it test shorted?

Also I replaced the earlier bad dioed and its still doing the same thing with blowing the fuse.. But if I unplug the thin white ribbon cable going from PS to main board it does not blow it..

    I checked Q1601 and Q1602
    Q1601
    1-2 00.0
    1-3 175.0
    2-3 175.02
    Q1602
    1-2 8.99
    1-3 8.99
    2-3 00.8

In that position (if it is rectifying 50/60Hz AC), that diode is perfectly fine.

In its location, you may be able to use 400V.

Do I have to say with the the 600V or can I go a little lower if I find one on a board that isnt the exact same specs.?

Have you no other boards knocking about you could borrow one off?

Is this the nephew with the westinghouse - what happened to that?
Sell.. Yes its the same nephew.. The westinghouse is still here laying on the bench.. With school starting , I have not been able to sit down and mess with it.. Its sitting there for a raining day I started to mess with it the other day, but got frustrated because of all the pulled pads, and I am not smart enough to figure out how to fix em .. I am going to dig around on some old boards today and see what I can come up with..

Please check Q1602 as shown in my drawing also, just to be sure it is not damaged.
just label the pin as 1, 2, 3. Then using Ohm mode and report the readings:

    1 & 2 =
    1 & 3 =
    2 & 3 =

The Diode should have at least the same Voltage and current rating.
The Vf must be equal or less.
The Trr must be equal or less

A funny fuse story – Lumix LX100 II
    by corrize
Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
    The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping...

Lift Master Garage Door wall switch display / motion sensor controller display disappeared no back light
    by sam_sam_sam
This happened last Saturday and today I finally had time this morning before I went to work to replace two non brand capacitors

I will let you be the judge weather or not these are bad or not according to the blue ESR meter that I am using

I am comparing them to a brand new one that I installed

The display came back on and the programming was not lost which I was surprised by I would have thought that when the display went blank that so did the memory as well

I going to let it run for several days before I remount back on the wall next to the...
