I have isolated the problem to the 5V STDBY on the 1W board. no connection to the scaler board it's 5.3V. connected the scaler board it reads as low as 4.2, however, the voltage very slowly rises.
I connected two 10 watt 50 ohm resistors in parallel for a 25 ohm load. connected to the STDBY 5V and GND and it drops to 4.2V. Is there a CAP kit for this board or do I need to get individual CAPS to replace. Looks like 4 electrolytic CAPS need to be replaced. Any one know what their values may be??
Thanks.... this is a great forum with many graciously helpful people.
