One thing I couldn't help but notice from your pictures was the "bodge" you did for two of the caps. Those caps look MUCH bigger than I'd expect for a typical SMPS cap. What series of capacitor did you use? (e.g. Panasonic FM) You must use low-ESR high reliability capacitors for an application like this; general purpose ones will not suffice (either they will not work at all or you will open the TV up in another 12 months to replace them.)
Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Wow! a picture I can actually read the board numbers on. I did try and look at the off site ones but when it said 1hr plus to download I gave up.
Normally we would get you to measure/test components and voltages on connectors. If you want to proceed with this I think you will have to get a multimeter - even a cheapo one off ebay would help.

I still have the original ones. These were just some that I bought that I installed for the time being. I will install them in a better way once I get the TV running again.

I looked at one today that I could buy for 300 DKR new that is, but I dont know what I would use it for after this? What parts do you want me to check? I could perhaps take it over to an electrian and he could test those parts for me?

Looking at the originals I dont see how the ones you have used will be as good. Please tell us what the originals were and what the new ones are.
Could be you would be better to replace the old ones

I was thinking of something more like this, for a one off job.

The voltage and every thing was the same on both. I bought these at one of the best electronic stores in Denmark, which is speciel shop for "experts" and others. There is not any brand on the new ones, but the man at the shop told me that these were high quality components thats why they were so expensive. But I still have the original ones, which are working.

The old ones just says KXJ 105C 450v 68uf

The new ones has the same specs, but says HP.

Ok that is cheap, but its from UK? Postage is probably expensive.

I found some on sale in the shop where I bought my stuff:

Must have missed that post! Yes I cant believe postage is that much sorry.
You can get them straight from HK post free but it will be a long wait
                      http://viewitem.eim.ebay.dk/Digital-...691603492/item.

I dont know anything about the two you suggest but I would go for the DVm231 same price? and more functions? - Odd as you would expect
840 to be a later version and better.

Ok, but what do you want me to check with these instruments? I mean which components and such?

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                          by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

                          Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

                          Hello,
I have my TV model UE50KU6070 which I am trying to repair.
                          BN41-02528A / BN94-10800C motherboard.
If I disconnect the motherboard from the power board, the backlight works. When the motherboard is connected the backlight works but the screen remains black.
When I plug the TV into the electrical outlet, the standby LED lights up but no reaction to an attempt to start it with the remote control for about 1 minute. During this minute the TV consumes about 20W.
After one minute the consumption drops to 0W and the TV can turn on with the remote control but...

I came around this forum last week with the goal of repairing my faulty gaming laptop, indeed, I was video editing on it when suddenly a black screen popped and never disappeared I bought some stuff to try to repair it and learn as many things as possible about computer repairs but nothing worked so far. When the black screen appeared, my legion 5 pro was connected to my external monitor...

                          by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...
