    Plasma new on on me

I have a Panasonic 42 Plasma pt # TH 42pz80U any how when i got it it looked good but it appeared to be that someone or somehow the aspect had been shrunk up to where on each side there is a 4 inch dark section the top and bottom are fine just the sides i cannot adjust that back and it affects the menu and anything else it is not the buffer boards i can remove the straps and it is different size and different looking in general I then thought it was the A board and looked it over couldn't see nor find any issue so i sent it in for repair thinking it must be it . It came back with a note nothing wrong with this board ??? Now what could it be the little control board that attaches to the buffers but like I said if i remove the affected leash area it looks very different . any ideas i could attach a picture but it looks normal aside from the two sides are blacked out about 4 to 5 inches ,
Hobbiest with some skills need to learn Lots also have a large colection of spare boards if anyone needs ask I may have

Can you show us a picture? Have you tried the ASPECT ratio button?

Sounds like it had the wrong board installed (smaller model) or you still have an issue with settings.

You should be able to really stretch the picture out on a plasma pending aspect settings.

Also make sure your input is not the problem.

The panasonics have a lot of setting adjustments and having the correct remote is a must with a plasma tv.

Is the pz80u a commercial moniter?

        Hi All,

I just got one Macbook 12" that was not powering on. I found out that the battery was flat on right side so I charged it little bit with power supply and the MacBook turns on.

Problems that I have when I connect everything I can see for second apple logo and it it dims down, then there is apple logo with progress bar also only for second and then dims down. I found that issue is with trackpad (probably keyboard part) as when I disconnect keyboard from trackpad MacBook boots up normally. I took off the black cover on keyboard I was expecting some water damage...

        Hello,
I am having Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV. While the TV was working, a crackling sound heard & video went off with audio still ON. After switching it off & ON, the red LED on TV blinks six times & then off.
Opened TV cover & observed foll
        a) Green LED on the small PCB blinks at @5-6sec ON & off for 3-4 secs. Red LED on logic board ON
b)Vs & Va on power supply board raises momentarily to 209v & 58v resp & then drops.
        c) Cold test on Y-main board shows all 3 pins of FGPF4536 IGBT short to Grnd.
How to confirm Y -Buffer board...

Hitachi 55HDS69 55" Plasma TV - No Picture But Sound
        by KYBOSH
Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...

What parts can be salvaged from a plasma with a damaged display panel?
        by SurrealMustard
I recently found myself the proud owner of a later-model Samsung plasma (the PN59D7000 for those keeping score at home) whose panel was, unfortunately, damaged in transport. I'm now preparing to part it out, but am curious as to whether or not any damage would have come to any of the components by attempting to power it up with the panel being broken. I read in one Avsforum thread (for whatever that's worth 😂) that the "scan driver boards" (by which I assume he means buffer boards) could be impacted by doing so. Is that actually the case? If so, since I don't intend on selling bad...
