Re: Hp/sharp 32,37" lcd and most sharp lcd blinking green light problem

This works for MOST Sharp Aquos and HP LCD televisions

Other LCD use chennel - and vol + while plugging in

The power light is an error code that tells me exactly what is wrong with the TV. Count how many times the POWER led flashes per second? (Dont worry about the OPC led)

1x per second (constant steady blink) = bad inverters/lamps
2x per second = bad power supply
3x per second = bad main board

If its 1x per second, try doing the factory initialization to get the TV back on to confirm a bad lamp/inverter.

Try doing the Factory Initialization (WARNING: THIS GIVES YOU ACCESS TO THE SERVICE MENU. DO NOT ADJUST ANYTHING IN THE SERVICE MENU OTHER THAN WHAT I PROVIDE YOU IN THESE INSTRUCTIONS. IF YOU DECIDED TO ADJUST ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHAT I PROVIDE YOU IN THESE INSTRUCTIONS, I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF ANYTHING WRONG HAPPENS TO YOUR TV.)

    unplug tv
press and hold at the same time “Vol –“ and “input” button on the TV set.
while holding those buttons, plug the tv back in
the tv should turn on by itself, keep holding the buttons until the letter “K” appears. Then let go.

Once the TV turns on, take a look at the screen. Does it flicker then shut off? Or do you hear a buzzing noise from the right edge of the TV? If so, then you have bad inverters or lamps. Once youre done, unplug the tv to get it out of the service menu.

If it is 2x per second or 3x per second, then those boards are just bad and they need to be replaced. There isnt anything you can do right now to fix it.

Re: Hp/sharp 32,37" lcd and most sharp lcd blinking green light problem

I have tried to find someone else that have the same trouble as med.
I have a fault code that shows like the power och OPC blinks simultaniously, both just once.
At first the power only blinks but when pressing "menu" on the controller OPC also starts to flash.

The servicemenual says thats its a communication error. I dont know what kind of error...

I'm thinking of one thing, the only colour i've seen on the power-led is green and orange(when updating firmware).... is it suppost to be red sometimes?

      Sharp (non-Vestel) (some models)
Power LED is RED in standby. When turned on, LED turns green. If an error occurs, the LED will go red and will flash along with the OPC LED. The combined error code greatly narrows down the issue: an error of 2-5, for example, indicates a main board 5V failure. (One can wish for other manufacturers to implement this... but they haven't.)

        sharp aquos lc32..
Tried all that's been said on this post..
no sound... blue screen... barely see the "analog" and "inputs" on the top right hand.. goes to the blue screen on an input setting.. then a yellow flickering screen on other setting... but no sound and no video... power seems to be ok.. no bad capacitors as far as I saw on the power board... since there is no sound at all and messed up video..(blue or yellow) can I be closer to assume that is a main board issue?
Thank you for your help guys..

Hey so I did what you said and my Tv turned on and was working. After I get into the menu what do I do? As soon as unplug it starts to flash again.

If the POWER led on my set is flashing 1X per second and I'm not able to get the screen to come on after completing the factory initialize steps mentioned above, is my next step to replace the inverter board? My TV is a Sharp Aquos Model LC-52D62U.
