    Samsung LCD TV LA32R71DBX Low Sound on DTV

    Hi all,
    I have the old 32" Samsung LCD TV LA32R71DBX which has a low volume on cold power up and it gets louder over 10 mins or so. Sound is normal on other audio input (ie HDMI).

    I have replaced a couple of bulging caps on the power supply board. However, it made it worst than before with lower volume.

    I am thinking of replacing all electrolytic caps on the board (waiting for parts). <br> <br>Could it be something else?

      What caps are you using for replacements - cheap caps could be as bad or worse than the bulging ones. Assume you have same voltage/uf and correct polarity?

          I replaced most of the electrolytic caps on the power board and still the same low volume problem. It must be something on the main board.

          I probably buy another set as it is not worth spending too much time on this.

              *What* capacitors did you use... where did you get them... what manufacturer/series?

              If you don't want your TV any more put a free ad up so someone else can get some use out of it. Or sell it. But I think it would be easy to repair.

                  I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

                  Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

                  I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

                  The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

                  With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                  Hi I am new to this kind of repairs but I want to learn..I have a Samsung UN65JS8500F. the TV used to work and I tried to fix darker areas in the middle only ( img 1,2,3).                   I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

                  I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

                  The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....
