I've got an interesting one. The audio crackles and pops when using the HDMI inputs only. if you use any other input on the TV it works just fine. I"ve found that when the HDMI setting on the input is set to 480i or 480p the HDMI audio works fine. As soon as you switch it to 720p 0r 1080I the audio strats to act up. it will quiet down and sometimes go away. However as soon as you select the menu button on the remote the crackling and popping comes back and is steady. I'm assuming that the audio amp is fine and it is related to the HDMI circuit. Not sure where to go from here.

2) You might have a firmware HDMI handshaking/incompatibility problem. If you can upgrade both the TV and audio amp to the latest firmware, it might solve your problem?
