Re: 50pg20 problem
disconnect all cables from the digital main pwb. then jumper test holes labeled "auto gen" on the control pwb. power on if the screen lites and goes through the test patterns you know everything is good on the display and it is the main pwb that is the issue.

LG 50PG20 crackling Audio when using hdmi input
I've got an interesting one. The audio crackles and pops when using the HDMI inputs only. if you use any other input on the TV it works just fine. I"ve found that when the HDMI setting on the input is set to 480i or 480p the HDMI audio works fine. As soon as you switch it to 720p 0r 1080I the audio strats to act up. it will quiet down and sometimes go away. However as soon as you select the menu button on the remote the crackling and popping comes back and is steady. I'm assuming that the audio amp is fine and it is related to the HDMI circuit. Not sure where to go from here.

Re: LG 50PG20 - Y-SUS/Z-SUS problems after PSU repairedS?
When the Television has a problem related to;
1) Shutdown caused by Main Board
2) No Picture
This can be checked by the following.
(1) Disconnect the Main Board from all connectors. Apply AC power.
Since P803 is not connected, the set will come on. Short the two pins on the Auto Test
Pattern lands.
If there is a picture of cycling colors, the Y-SUS, Y-Drive, Z-SUS, Power Supply,
Control Boards and Panel are all OK.
Same test for (2) to tell if the No Video is...

Re: Hitachi P50H4011 Plasma no picture
Replaced the caps on the lvps and replaced the lower buffer pwb and all is well. too bad that there is a half inch black line at the bottom of the screen must be the panel itself. still good for watching movies though. Thanks for all your advice great forum!!!

Hitachi P50H4011 Plasma no picture
Got a 50 inch hitachi plasma p50h4011 with no picture but sound works.
On inspection two swollen caps on power supply and a blown chip 3294f on the lower sdr buffer pwb. When i dissconnect the lower sdr pwb I get the top half of the picture back. I will replace the caps on the power supply and the buffer chip on the sdr-d pwb but i am wondering if there is a chance that the pwb (y-sus i think) that the sdr pwb connects to could be damaged as well?...
