HP E233 display HDMI no input

    Hi

The display is working great except for the HDMI. VGA, DisplayPort is fine.
i have tried several cables and sources with no luck.

Board number is 715G8912- but i didn't find its schematic anywhere.
The main chip is RTD2526FR which i didn't find its datasheet as well.

Main board looks fine without any blown components or soldering issues.
When an HDMI source is connected the screen goes blank for a few seconds and then it says, "HDMI is inactive" and enters to sleep mode.

    Tested Components:
HDMI connector - pin 19(HPD) show 2.4v without hdmi cable, 5v with cable.
JA - 2.4v, 5v in, and diode check forward polarity=0.6v and "OL" the other way around.
C31RH - i guess it is an ESD protection IC, all I/O's shows 0.6v to GND pin and "OL" in reverse polarity and "OL" to Vcc pin
24C02 - EEPROM, i do not own a scope so i do not know how to test it except for measuring voltage which demonstrates 5v to Vcc, SCL,SDA pins.

    attaches are board pics

    any help is most appreciated.

The main reason for fixing it is learning so buying a new board is non relevant.

Hi!, I have the same problem. Did you solve it without replacing the board?

      Thanks in advance!

        Welcome to badcaps!
Unfortunately there isn't enough information given. Try a different cable, wiggling the connector etc. Does the computer recognize the screen, or is it dead as a rock? Are there any loose /damaged pins on the HDMI connector on the board? Does the monitor turn on at all?

Thank you very much for your answer.

I've already tried the cable in another HP monitor (24fh) and it works. It says no input but the laptop seems to recognize the monitor. OSD is working. I tried with Display port and HDMI.

If it isn't the cable nor any other inputs work, it's either the firmware, EDID, or the main CPU.
