Okay; the tv was working bt it had a thin vertical line on the left side. i attempted to find out which board was going bad. Ok, i unplugged them and now no picture. I unplugged the x board and replugged it. that when it clicked a few times and now no picture. If i unplug the x board; it will make sound and it appears that he picture will come in, but it never does. if the x board is plugged up; no sound no attempted picture. wen the x board isnt plugged up; and i power it on; i can still see the thin vertical line. do i need to replace the x board and what can cause the very thin vertical line???

Re: Samsung: PN50C450B1DXZA
It can either be a faulty board or burned chip on panel ribbon cable.
It will not be repairable if it`s a chip/ribbon failure.
A thin vertical line would make me take a closer look at the supporting board. (bottom of tv panel)
A 1.5" black vertical bar would be whole chip failure. (parts tv)
If you keep doing what you are doing it won`t even be a parts tv.Last edited by cadiman; 04-30-2012, 06:48 PM.

Re: Samsung: PN50C450B1DXZA
If you had a coloured line, the plasma panel (PDP) was likely bad. It's more than possible it went from slightly bad to completely shorted, taking out the whole picture in the process. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!
