The readings should be all the same, not sure but last ones i checked were around 400 ohms and the dud ones were 650ohms, do it by going from each pin on the transformer and write down all the readings for each transformer, then see if any are differant from the rest, with out seeing the transformers i cant tell you which pins are which etc, but you can do this by process of elimination

I left them in circuit with all the connectors out and this was sufficient for me, problem was fixed with new invertor board

That's really bad news, if that missing lamp is a must, i think i will stop here,
if that former tech took the lamp, who knows what else did he do.
im adding a picture of the inverter and the lamps,

give me your honest opinion, should i carry on searching for a lamp
how much should it cost anyway?
        or should i quit now?

by the way i checked all of the transformers and they all acted the same,
on one side 2 close pins showed 1.5kohms and the other 2 on the same side
showed the same, on the other side the 2 center pins showed 1ohm, the other ones on the same side showed nothing.

thanks you all for helping, even if i won't be able to fix that Tv,
i learned a lot reading here.

can you put a picture of where you said a diode was cut,and also the point where the diode is on the solder side? for reference ,seems this guy may have taken what he needed for another tv,your secondarys seem ok on the inverter transformer, they are the ones that always fail beacause of the very thin windings,i think if you had the tube then it will fire up,but that all depends on what some one has taken away!,you could try ccfl warehouse for a tube they are recommended, but can be tricky to replace,i dont normally bother if it breaks then your stuffed, also the tubes contain mercury, not good!
fixed so far...376 lg lcd tv's,24 onn tv;s,24 panasonic lcd,16 jvc lcd,12 marshall jcm800 amps, refurb of various disco equipment lighting, old style disco decks ,and a flymo!

hey multimeter, thanks for the fast response!!

i've uploded a picture of the cut diodes,

by looking at other power supplys pcb on the net, it seems that not in all of them a those diodes exists.

by the way had one expirience in replacing a tube, on a 14" sony laptop.
i wouldnt do that again, no fram to the tube and super delicate. took me over an hour.

not all supplys are filled where the legends are, just left empty, but that looks like someone has pinched the diodes the lazy way just snipped them off,be interesting to see what rail they are on and lead too, sorry im just rambling now...!

Hi, my psu 17pw15-8 has 17v to inverter, knowing this should be 24v. I noticed 2 bad caps c806 and c851, all others appear to be fine, could this be the cause to low voltage.

                Thanks for any help.

                Paul

PS, I`ve got sound but no picture but after a few minutes on the screen a red tinge appeared..

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
                  by TR103
                  Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                  - sound and backlight, but no picture
                  - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                  - it keeps rebooting
                  - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                  - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                  - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                  - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                  by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Samsung UE60KU6079 backlight okay mainboard responsive, no picture, no sound
                  by Ierwin
                  Hello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...

                  Hi all

I was just given a Samsung TV with the issue. I read various threads and videos and attempted the ribbon tape method to gain an image, but no luck.

                  Symptom:
                  No picture no sound.
When I plug in the power cord, Backlight LED turns on for a half second and then turns off. The red LED next to the power button located center bottom flashes 2 or 3 times. When the power button is pressed after, it does the same thing.
                  No sound at all.

                  What I tried:
                  1. I tried unplugging the left or right ribbon...
