    I'm gonna offer $10 for a Polaroid TDA03211C.....

    .....he originally wanted $15.

It's 1366x768, so slightly higher resolution than
    my Insignia NS-32LCD.

No picture, no sound. So hopefully a bad cap
    situation like this one:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqzNt70M8CY

But the reviews on the net about this model are
horrible!! won't matter for someone who can repair it, but
some of the problems were color-fading issues that don't
    sound easy to fix.

    Hopefully the screen ain't cracked....

For this set it's most likely the two 1000u 10V caps on the top of the supply plus probably a 1000u 35V for the inverter. $10 is good.

    1366x768 is a standard 720p resolution.

I'd be wary of this one. These had a big problem with the main boards going bad. A few had bad caps but those had sound but no picture. If there are not any bad caps then it is most likely the main board and it will cost $70 to $100 to fix as you will have to buy a new board. I have not found any instance of anyone fixing these main boards and there is not any useful info on these Proview chassis TVs. If the power supply is good and the screen is not broken then it will pay for itself in parts.

If it's stuck in standby it's probably the bad caps.

But Proview sucks, so it could be the main board.

Just fixed a proview 15" monitor this week, blown SMD fuse close to the 12vdc socket. The build quality and general feel was quite plastiky and Chinese.

Good luck with your repair and I hope your TV is built better than this monitor!

Either way it's gonna be worth $10 all day long

Compare these two motherboards - one is Proview, one is LG. The way the cheap electros are just put in at any which angle looks ugly. Also, the board has been made as small as possible, to reduce costs. The LG is neatly laid out, with SMD electrolytics and excellent machine assembly. Shame the caps are bad on the PSUs, though, otherwise I wouldn't hasten to recommend LG or Samsung.

[Offer] Acer IPIMB-AR (w/o on-board gfx) of Acer Predator G5920 fullflash BIOS
              by Roman555
I'd like to offer an Acer IPIMB-AR Rev: 1.02A fullflash BIOS (cleaned ME region). The model is for Acer Predator G5920.
It is a model that is based on Intel Z77 PCH and doesn't have on-board graphics and video connectors.
I suppose it doesn't have any restriction about discrete graphics cards (I mean they don't have to be in a whitelist).
Please don't mistake this mainboard with a similar model with on-board graphics and based on Intel B75 PCH.

              Jumper FLASH_OVERRIDE
default position: 1-2 - BIOS area protected
position 2-3 allows to dump BIOS or write
              ...

Polaroid p49fn0038k backlights flashing split second
              by Chrissygizmo
Hi all, I have a polaroid p49fn0038k, I originally thought the problem was just a straight forward backlight replacement, however this isn't the case..

When I power it up, the backlights flash on for a split second, I've tested the backlight strips and all are fine, I can see the polaroid symbol on the screen using a torch light....

Any help would be greatly appreciated

              Thanks in advance

Polaroid P43D300 (vestel 17MB97) issues (bluetooth & various sw bugs)
              by snimmits
              Good afternoon,

              I have a Polaroid P43D300.
It shipped with WiFi and Bluetooth.

Two weeks ago, I ran through the first time installation.
This did a full reset and went through the first time setup.

Once complete, I went to settings > sound.
selected Audio Link, changed setting from disabled to enabled, pressed green button on remote and the tv does a search (discovery) for Bluetooth devices.

search completes and doesn't find any devices.

I have tried everything I can think of.

              Can someone provide...
