    Deadish Goodman GTV42P6

Hi I have a Goodman GTV42P6 plasma that I picked up to play around with (never touched one before) with the aim of repairing it so the kids can use it with the games consoles .
Bought as dead no power or standby lights opened it up and checked the psu after reading about repair kit and tested what I could before replacing the blown fuse .
Screen now lights up but is grey and there is still no standby light .
The boards either side have green led's on them that are lit .
Basically is it worth buying a psu repair kit and seeing how it goes from there any input welcome can do pictures if needed

Right problem solved thanks to FIXITNOW i went back and rechecked everything tracing as to why i had no voltage at the zener diode .
All components checked ok until out of frustration i checked the fuse and it was dead popped in a new one and all fired up .

So moral of this misadventure even if its new check it

Interesting. Looks a lot like a Panasonic plasma TV, but with the Goodmans name on it. I didn't know Panasonic sold panels to other manufacturers...
