    50" Philips 50PFP5332D/37

    Hey guys i have a 50" Philips 50PFP5332D/37

Over the past few days, it has been acting up, when i power it on after being off all night, , i hear 1 click, the blue light turns on and in about 3-5 seconds the red like blinks 6 times.

(i am trying to remember, but when i used to turn it off i remember hearing 2 clikcs, now i only hear 1)

If i turn it off then turn it right back on, it powers on fine

What i have to do is unplug the power cord from the back of the TV for about 10 min then plug it back in and it allowed the TV to turn on fine.

Im sure this wont last forever, and I have been having a rough time finding the service manual for this TV every link i seem to click is dead.

Anyone have any ideas on what this could be happening? or possible cheap fixes? With the holiday shopping all done, i cant afford a new TV right now, so i would like to keep this one going for a few more months.

service manual should be this one:

There are some other threads on here suggesting it's the usual bad caps crap (under a heatsink)

Bad caps won't come under an error code; you'll need to open up your TV.

Failed caps could cause a power supply warning code, but in most cases they cause odd power related faults

Lenovo Y700-17ISK turn on and off
              by pajdek
Hello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. Philips 55PUS6804/12 turn on & off (probably backlight issue)
              by ovrax
              Hello everyone,

First of all, please excuse me as I'm quite new to this field.

I have a Philips 55PUS6804/12 TV. It turns on and off instantly (backlight flash). I personally think it's a backlight issue (faulty LEDs). Could you help me confirm my diagnosis?

I've checked and the T-CON seems to be fine. I disconnected one ribbon cable at a time at the bottom, but the problem persists.
The Ambilight works perfectly and stays on.

              No sounds.

              Thanks in advance.

This happened last Saturday and today I finally had time this morning before I went to work to replace two non brand capacitors

I will let you be the judge weather or not these are bad or not according to the blue ESR meter that I am using

I am comparing them to a brand new one that I installed

The display came back on and the programming was not lost which I was surprised by I would have thought that when the display went blank that so did the memory as well

I going to let it run for several days before I remount back on the wall next to the...
