    samsung pn50a400c2d volume remot problems

okay i have searched all over the internet and for one you guys know your stuff and 2 i cannot find a definetive answer.

here is the scenario, all of the sudden my 4 year old tv, samsung pn50a400c2d turned itself down to 0 and is holding it because the volume bar will no disappear. sometimes it goes away in a minute sometimes an hour. it does not change if you turn off the tv or even unplug it. when you turn it back on it is still volume bar on and if you turn it up it just rocks between 0-1.

problem 2 is that the remote when this is happening does not always work, i have done the camera check and the remote is working and has NEW batteries in it. also the blue light on the TV flashes to show it gets signal but it does nothing.... again same time frame for it to stop working and start working again....

so i am not scared to take the the TV apart but i am trying to figure out which board would control these problems. as best i can tell from ym research is that it is the A/V main board with the connectors for input and output on it or the logic board.

can someone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Actually, you're most likely dealing with a problem with the side button board. It's behind the buttons or touch panel of the TV. It sometimes combines the sensor on the board too. You can either try cleaning it (sounds like a bit of dirt is stuck in the volume down button) or getting a new one, they're fairly cheap.

You'll need the part number written on the board.

A quick check you can make to see if that board will fix your problem, is to disconnect one ond of tha cable going between that board and the main board. You can disconnect it from either end. If the volume bar goes away, you know that board will fix yoru problem.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?
                by ohren
I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....
