Hi everyone
I received this tv with the complaint that it had sound but poor video. Upon setting this up on the service bench and plugging it in. The following symptoms were observed;
White screen that was pulsating along with ac hum from the audio. I was not able to get a picture of this symptom of the pulsating screen.
The power supply panel was removed and the caps were checked out of circuit both capacitance and ESR checked with no caps glaringly standing out.
I have tried to get a service manual but have not been able to find one.
Trying to take voltage readings due to the LCD panel needing to be in place has to be some sort of trick to be able to do this...
The first picture is the main board. The filters check good in this unit.
Next picture is the main board in position of the tv set
The next set of pictures is the power supply board and all the diodes, filters all check good. There were some filters that were a little bit down but nothing like a significant amount.... Less than ten percent differences noted between their value and the measured value.
The last picture is the power board in position of the tv set which then the LCD panel is placed on top of.
Any ideas on how to measure voltages, Where to get a schematic and potential ideas of repairs???
