    HP PL4260N Measure IPM Output

Hello - I'm working on this 42" plasma with LG guts, the ysus IPM failed, it was replaced (and then tested by Tri State Module), the picture is showing signs of mal discharge -- sparkly, colors off (like skin tones will be shiny) so I'm thinking maybe the zsus is on the way out. I keep reading about measuring the output of the zsus IPM, that it should be 15V, but I can't find any reference to where this output is measured. I adjusted the z-bias, it's right where it should be (100V). Is the output where it goes into the panel? Or is there another obvious point? Thanks!

Use the LG Plasma Quick Reference Alignment Handbook. You will have to match the model number of the plasma panel.

The problem is on the Y-sustain. Based on your description the Y-sus waveform is not adjusted correctly. You will need an oscilloscope to adjust it.

Thanks Bill and Ray. I downloaded the alignment guides, very nice.

I don't have a scope right now so I thought I'd check everything I could before asking someone to align it for me (or borrow a scope).
