Photocouplers are the same as Opto-isolators aren't they? If so, You might find them under that. If you can find a data sheet for the part that you have, then look up an equivalent part.

Yup, but Mouser's the cheapest -

          - Future is cheaper by the piece, but $9 FedEx Ground. No Priority Mail.
          - Arrow is cheaper yet, but minimum order is $25 and S/H is $8.

All the Intersil numbers are the WRONG device (op-amp).

          Cheers!

It appears the following part numbers from Digi-key are matches for the original. If the row to row lead spacing is .3" this should work or if the row to row lead spacing is .4" use this one.

My question is this: are you repairing a power supply, and isolated the fault to the opto-coupler? If so, how did you determine that this part was faulty?

Here is some information that might be helpful. SMPS use opto-couplers in the negative feedback loop in order to maintain isolation between primary and secondary. The good news is that they are all very similar. Being in the feedback loop, the part will "self-adjust" and thus the specs are not critical. Desolder one from a spare parts board if you have doubts.

One side of the coupler is an LED. That can easily be tested with your multimeter. The other side is an opto-transistor. The part operates at low voltage, low current, and low frequency. The failure rate is very low.
                    Is it plugged in?
