    Sony LCD KDL-46v4000

    Sony LCD KDL-46v4000 blinks 6 times before shutting down.
    Please note that Main power supply board and digital board has been changed but problem persists.
    I would be grateful if some repair tips can be suggested.

      Backlight 6 times Power Supply Board
      (Balancer) ETC-Inverter Boards

      I find that it is rare for the balancer to be bad, I would suspect the panel.

          i just gutted a kdl-46s4100 even saved the ccfls( has a bashed screen but powered on and backlights worked, had audio etc)

          if alot of your parts cross reference to the set i had, i can make you a great deal on the parts..

                  I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

                  Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

                  I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

                  The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

                  With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                  Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?

                  Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

                  Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
                  Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
                  CN6401
                  Pin 01 NC
                  Pin 02 NC
                  Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
                  Pin 04 "N/C"
                  Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
                  Pin 06 "GND": N/C
                  Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...

                  Hi everyone, newcomer in this forum, i watched tons of video from Sorin, i like the way i calmly explain things, i did quite some console repair, i am not that bad at micro-soldering, but troubleshooting where the issue is, is definitely where i still have progress to make.                   Hi there!

                  I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40Z4500 which shows a colored vertical stripes pattern when turning on, with a central black shadow that slowly dissipates within the first 10 seconds.

                  Photo of the situation after the black shadow dissipates:

                  After this behavior the red LED will blink 9 times, then pause for a bit, and blink again 9 times, in a loop.
