Oil looking spots and a darker then normal screen, Please help

I just bought an LG 50px1D for $100 and the guy said it wasnt used for 6 months because there was no picture. There was sound but there was no picture. So i did some research via this awesome forum and found that it needed a new Z-SUS board. Well i took the back off and looked around and noticed the cable behind the fan, going to the Z-SUS board was unplugged! I plugged it in and bam, some pixels started turning colors and I started getting my picture back. It looks like an oil spill on my screen with about 60% of the screen visible and when the screen changes some pixels turn black before regaining the appropriate color. I have pictures but they are not very good. Please help! Thank you

The screen is quite dark as well, Picture below. The spots are not always in the same location like a burn in would be. I can watch as the spots slowly dissipate but it still covers about 20%-30% of the screen.

what is the item above Mockingbird?

Mbates14, does the z-sus need to be broken in after sitting for awhile? After some more playing when the screen switches to a mostly white picture much of the black "oil slicks" disappear. (covering only 5% of the screen) Then if i switch the channel the screen becomes oil slicked to about 20% again.

In the repair manual is states the z-sus board P/N is 6871QZH036B while looking on ebay the only P/N's listed are 6871QXH044C is this just a different rev. board? (Seller states its compatible)

Look at the part number on the Z-sus itself, don't trust someone on eBay.

              Updated!

Replaced the z-sus board and one month later, POP! and the screen goes black.

So obviously the z-sus isnt the REAL problem here. Something has to be making this occur.

Does anyone have any more information as to what is causing this to happen?

One of the IPMs on the Y-sustain just went out (possibly Z-sustain). Check the fuses on the Y and Z boards for continuity. The one that has an open fuse is the problem. Just replace the bad board and that should fix your problem. It is a common failure on these LG panels. The IPMs go out because they break down over time due to heat. You initially had a bad Z-sustain and now you have a bad Y-sustain most likely. There are probably not any other problems. You can replace the IPM but if you decide to go that route then both IPMs on the bad board must be replaced or you will soon have the same problem.

all fuses appear NOT to be blown. I ran the tv for about 5 minutes then felt all the heat sinks on the z-sus and they were warm. I felt the two on the y-sus and one was ice cold. Is this enough diagnosis to replace the y-sus. I just replaced (1 month ago) the z-sus board so I would hate to think it was the z-sus. Any help would be great.

Thank you by the way rayrod81 and all others

Are there two different type of board setups in these LG 50px1d plasma tvs? I just got parts for mine and it is the same exact model tv but the y-sus is much much different. Are they both compatible? If so how? One connects with ribbon cables the other with metal plates.

Don't order parts by the model number of the TV. I have seen many errors on listings of boards for sale. Also, it is not impossible two different plasma panels would be used in the same model TV. Always specify the board number. On LG TVs this is on a white sticker on the board.

                            Hi everyone.
Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen 3, stuck on the "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" screen.
Found a lot of people with this issue, but with no definitive answer. Some people managed to get away accessing BIOS, going to Startup and turning off "Option Key Display". For me that only removed the interrupt normal start up message, leaving only the Lenovo logo.
Most people say hitting Enter does not work. It's true, if you wait a few seconds. But if you hit Enter right away you get the options to enter BIOS (which works), run diagnostics (goes to a...

                            Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

i have an ipad pro 9.7" (1st gen) A1674 where i replaced the screen, but never attached the screen to the frame/chassis (glued down) due to the ipad being previously dropped so the new screen would never fit in the frame properly. so i need flex/bend the chassis to eventually fix the new screen in properly. so i temporarily just applied blue tape around the edges of the screen to keep it in place. when watching videos with the ipad the screen started flicker, so i though maybe the new quasi cheap amz screen i purchased was going out. so i disconnected then reconnected with power still on,...

                            by FreakyMex
Hello guys. I'm a complete noob in electronics. I'd like to repair my child Lunii's (a "story box"), basically an audio player that allows the childs to choose between several options the places, characters, objects of the story, and then play a story according to the choice of the child. There is a screen that display the selected option before each choice. The Lunii fell and the screen is now broken.
I'd like to repair it (probably just have to change the part, because the lunii still works perfectly fine) but I can't manage to identify the part/order it online. Do you have any...
