    I picked up this sony 32 lcd (kdl-32xbr4) and it has a t-con board failure.
    I don`t see any of these boards anywhere new or used. I am thinking this is only sold with the panel since it does not have sony written on it anywhere.

    I found the parts breakdown on a Sears parts website and they didn`t list the t-con board or even show it.

    Also seems to be a high failure part. Does anyone know where I can find these? (I looked on ebay)

      What is the tcon part number? And can you include a picture using manage attachments?

          I am working on pictures. I really would like to post some, but this forum has some tough photopolice like I have never seen and I don`t want to mess up.

          This whole tv is a sony except for the t-con board. It has a chip by samsung on it. I thinks it goes with the panel.

          The sony part number is 1-789-796-11 I think I found it at Encompass for around 180.00 with core exchange.

              I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

              Hi,

              i want to repair a Sony KD-75XF9005 TV that initially only showed a grey picture.
              Backlight seems to work, Sound (Setup menu after reset) works.
              If i dissconnect the left FFC cable from TCON to panel i have half a screen on the right. If left cable is connected always only the grey screen.
              Interchanged the cables, its always only the right side that is working. Always grey if left side is connected.
              With my small knowledge i would think at least the cables are good.

              Can this happen because of a bad tcon board?
              Or is it always a bad/shorted...

              Hello all ~

              Hope this finds you well. This LG 82UN8570AUD (April 2021 model) 4K UHD television has full audio capabilities but video is compromised / problematic.

              When I picked up this large LG tv it had a full black screen upon startup. Previous owner said it just went black one day. No popping sound or anything else of note.

              I got the display to work by taping off several traces of the right-hand side ribbon cable on the TCON that leads from TCON to PANEL. However, despite dozens and dozens of attempts to find the right combination / range of traces taped...

              Sony KD-55X9000F TCON Issue

              The TV shows a black screen with no image.
              TCON ribbon connectors were disconnected individually for image and there was no half image even.
              Later both ribbons were disconnected and TCON voltages were tested.
              12V, 3.3V, 1.8V were seen present but VONE signal reads 0V.
              There is also a short to ground in this circled inductor.
              Is this a TCON issue or something else ?...

              I have this problem with my Sony 55' AG9.
              It flashes 4x.
              I have found the service manual, and seems it is the TCON.

              Before I buy a TCON can someone check the vid?
