    Insignia NS-32lcd red ghosting??

We have a Insignia ns-32lcd 1st model that displays kind of a red ghosting that changes with the image. Tried different input connectors and went through systems settings and nothing seems to affect it. Contacted Insignia support not very much help suggested it sounds like a color convergence issue and take it to Best Buy and let them look at it. Anyone here have any suggestions??

    Thanks,
    Jason

First of all, Insignia said 'convergence issue'? Are they nuts? It is not possible to have a convergence issue on an LCD TV.

Next, I hope you realize that remote troubleshooting is definitely a case of GIGO - Garbage In, Garbage Out. And 'Kind of a red ghosting' doesn't provide much information. You've tried different inputs - a good move. Does the problem also appear with the menus? If it does not, the problem is definitely a main board issue. Otherwise I would suspect Tcon board.

Above all, a picture is worth a thousand words.

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

Insignia NS-LCD019-09 issue: Power light turns blue for 3 seconds, the flashes red before going solid read again
      by cajoeg
Hello, I'm new to the group and to trying to repair a LCD TV. During the past few years, I've been collecting/repairing/restoring vintage personal computers (Commodore, Apple II, Atari, TRS-80, Texas Instruments, and Timex Sinclair). This has been my retirement hobby. Now I've gotten interested in trying to repair a LCD TV that I have and used regularly when working on vintage computers.

The LCD I'm working on is a Insignia NS-LCD019. I've downloaded the service manual that I could find, but it must be a different revision since not too many items in the service manual match the TV...

      Insignia NS-32L430A11 backlight issue
      by arnard
I have a weird backlight issue on the above Insignia Plasma that I am coming up empty on researching.

The display is darker on the left than on the right side of the screen. It uses 4 U shaped plasma tubes. I have had it apart deep enough to tell you that the tubes are bright as they should be at the electrode ends but dim as they get to and go around the bend.

Since it is all 4 tubes it seems like it would be an inverter/backlight board but obviously can't be a blown up component as it does still somewhat work. I'm thinking low voltage but no idea where to go beyond...

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
      by rounin
      Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

      🛠 Original Issue
      The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
      by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

Alienware 15 R2 Service Tag: DL7NN32 ISSUE (Battery is not charging)
      by Simone Vergani
      Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue with my Alienware 15 R2 (Service Tag: DL7NN32). The laptop works perfectly when connected to the AC adapter — it powers on and functions normally. However, the battery does not charge. If I disconnect the DC adapter, the laptop shuts down immediately, as the battery is at 0%. I have replaced the battery with a new compatible one, but the issue persists. I also replaced the AC adapter with a compatible one, but the battery still doesn't charge.

To assist with troubleshooting, I'm attaching two power circuit schematics:
