So I've dabbled a very little bit in repairing lcd tvs first of all. I got this tv for free knowing it did not work. I removed all the screws from the back cover but it will not come off! Is there a trick I'm missing here? I know the problem is most likely some caps on the inverter boards I just can't get the dang back panel off! Lol someone know a trick please help! Thanks

I don't recommend trying this.

I got the back off. The caps on the master and slave inverter boards look swollen to me. How do I post pics of them I've never seen swollen caps so I don't exactly know what they look like.Comment

Use the "Manage Attachments" button when replying. There are restrictions on image size, so make sure they are under 2MB and the longest side is no larger than 2000 pixels. Use macro mode on your camera if at all possible as well.Comment

i see a recap in the near future... sounds like a recap might make it run. if so, you gust got a flatscreen for the cost of caps and some time soldering.
can you see what brand the caps are? if there are non-swollen ones of the bloated brand, replace them too, they could fail just as easily... or they could have failed without bulging. any other non-swollen caps--> report brand here, they might also be suspect.
and yes, pictures are always helpful.sigpic

by brad2157I picked up a Vizio E70-E3 for free that shows Vizio logo and then goes to a black screen. Original owner said he started having wifi issues and then he tried to reset the TV and that's when it wouldn't boot up any longer after his reset attempt. I picked up a replacement main board from eBay that matches the same model # board as the original from the TV.
Original main board - Shows Vizio logo when TV powers on, then goes to black screen. Doesn't boot up. No screen issues with any lines on start up Vizio logo.
Replacement main board - Boots up fine, but starting... -
by ekozeko333Hi all,
I’m trying to recover a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7-14ARE05 with board DA0LS3MBAF0 Rev:F. I’ve run into an unusual issue where USB-C PD is stuck at 4.7–5V and the system won’t boot (keyboard lights flash briefly, then nothing).
🔥 The Problem Started After Suspected ESD/PD Fault
I experienced a power issue or ESD event through a USB-C charger
After that, the NX20P5090 power switch was visibly burned and was replaced
Now the PD controller always negotiates 5V @ 2A, even with known-good chargers
🧠 What I’ve Done So Far
Flashed...-

by corrizeHello, I'm stuck in troubleshooting…
The flash system works like that : when the (mechanic) flash button is pressed, the flash mecanically pop up, and a circuit buck boost elevate 7v (batt) to 200-300v (?) for charging the big capacitor. And when the photo shoot button is pressed, the capacitor is discharged in the xeon light.
In the D800, there is a first « power board » close to the battery. 2 wires (batt 7v) goes to another little « flash board ». I measured 7v, so ok.
When I press the flash button, it's detected by the system, flash icon appear on LDC display.... -
Symptom: my Fujitsu E19W-5 emits a white flash from the CCFL lamps for a split second after being plugged to AC, then it behaves as if unplugged from mains: no backlight, no image on the LCD, no LED light on the front bezel; it remains in this status indefinitely. Re-pugging the AC cable repeats the behavior.
I have fixed it by replacing the four capacitors on the power supply circled in the photo. It is functional without defects now. This PCB seems identical to the Fujitsu E19-5 that was discussed here for the same symptoms, for which replacing C910 alone was sufficient....-
