I'm posting this not because there is a problem with this TV, but to help some with similar issue. I have used this forum many times and it just helps me to learn more.
The symptom of the TV was that it would turn the display on for just a split second. I could see it was on, but there was no backlight.
I suspected part of the BL was out.
Then I noticed a slightly bulged cap. After replacing it the TV works perfectly.
