    TCL 65s423

Question, I know Its the backlight. I know how to replace one led but sometimes it comes up slightly brighter then the other. I have tried this on another TV and worked but ....

Can I just take the LED off that is bad and just solder the connection together without putting a light there. When I did this on a donation TV it worked and wouldn't show any difference in quality. Although the voltage going to the lights was 3v less with LED tester and will be 3 v higher when turned on. Will this cause a problem quickly?? Thanks

It's a tv, I think japan owns the company, they are prolly made in china, I don't know 2 might be pushing it, I thought I saw someone maybe on youtube that did more than 1 that may have used an added resistor to keep things balanced but it's been quite a while since I saw it.

I don’t think one is brighter. I think it’s the color temp. of the led.

Just replace the single led. Order a few different 3v and 6v leds with different color temp. Ie; warm white, cool white and even some cold white. There not expensive and if your fixing TVs here in there you will need them later.

We always recommend replacing the all the strips but sometimes it's not feasible or people just want to be cheap.

That being said I have replaced single led on Hisense and tcl because they're cheap TVs and if you turn the backlights down they usually last a year or more

Elektronika EPOS-73A stuck with fixed display
                by carlitosbala
                Hi,

I'm hoping I can get some ideas on what to check in this old (1978) soviet-era electronic calculator I got from a flea market, the Elektronika EPOS-73A.

Got it home and plugged it in. It worked just fine at first, I used it a few times for a few minutes each time, "kid with new toy" style.

Then I disassembled it to clean the plastic case and the keys. I couldn't separate the lower half of the case from the board because cables are tied to it, so during the cleanup one of the cables going from the power board to the main board detached,...

Need help with troubleshooting tips\ schematics -LG monitor that goes off quickly
                by litec systems
                Hi all
Does someone has the test points \ schematics for lg eax65543115 ( 22" version, lg led monitor)
Or any ideas how to troubleshoot it?
The screen turns on for like 10 seconds, then goes off ( kinda protection triggered, as it goes off like you've been pressing the power button)
, but the cpu gets hot quickly within those 10 seconds , AND STAYS HOT EVEN WHEN IT'S OFF
I'm suspecting it gets over voltage \ current and triggers some OV \ OC PROTECTION but hopefully it's not too late ( that the chip is broken)

NOTE that it's a trashpicked monitor...

Strange battery present behaviour in Lenovo Legion 5-15ARH05 mb model nm-d041
                by ferah831208
Hello guys, i need help with this problem, I have a NM-D041 mobo, it came with low impedance in 3v linear regulator rail, the cause was a damaged EC controller ITE8227e-192. I ordered a new one and replaced it. This laptop have a different chip for keyboard management and it8227e pins for programming ITE chips are not accesible through keyboard interface, I flashed it using i2c interface pins with vertyanov programmer because laptop was dead and SPI flash didn't have power (only 3v EC) so it couldn't access firmware stored in SPI memory. I read SPI and extracted it8227 firmware from original BIOS...

                820-02918 PPBUS Cycling, Minor Liquid.
                by ugamazing
Working on an 820-02918 board that had a minor liquid spill, but it was directly to the ISL/U5200. Essentially the entire area had to be replaced due to corrosion. Got it all cleaned up and everything looks good and checks out, but we're hitting a cycling PPBUS issue now. PPBUS_AON cycles quickly from ~9v-12v, indefinitely.

Knowing this is typically a sign of a possible short on a lower rail, we checked all around and found no obvious damage or shorts. We have VERY LIMITED parts for this model (exactly 1 single U5200 chip), but I suspect it will end up being a continuity issue or...
