by the way,,, you can also move load on MB, by disconnecting speaker and wifi /BT module from it then turn on,,, this is weakness by LG

Re: LG 49UB850V not switching on / standby LED off / LD701 blinks 5x
Have tried it. T-Con disconnected from PSU & Mainboard but nothing changed => Switching on, Standby LED blinks 3x. LD2300 on mainbord lights up and after ~30s LD701 on PWS board starts to blink 5x repetetive. No Backlight and also no red light in optic port. Additional a quietly buzzing noise in the region of IC100 occurs...
Put T-CON in again, buzzing sound is still there...Last edited by Seb932; 09-18-2023, 03:41 PM.Leave a comment:

No it does not come, checket on PSU side and on IC3000 as well. Pin stays Low...Leave a comment:

Re: LG 49UB850V not switching on / standby LED off / LD701 blinks 5x
then if you said so 12V & 24V you have and BL good,,, then why you work on PSU...Sorry, this was a typo. DVR_ON is correct. Pin2 on P201 PSU side. Its normally feeded from INV_CTL (IC3000). Will enable Backlight.
If i bride SBY 3.5V on PSU with POWER_ON Pin1 P201 => all voltages are anabled on PSU. If 3.5V are supplied to DVR_ON on PSU side the backlight lights up.
disconnect the panel from T-CON and try turn on normal.. BL should turn on and the Audio optic out put should lit red too if yours statement before correctLeave a comment:

Do test in post #9, I think we want to see if the mainboard is sending drv_on signal, we know it works when jumped stand alone from your test.Leave a comment:

Re: LG 49UB850V not switching on / standby LED off / LD701 blinks 5x
in general TV PSU design.. how many STB (3.5V) pins you have at the sockets = how much signal the MB send to PSU during start .... i think here in this LG he had 3 pins STB means = 3 signalLeave a comment:

Nah, it's the same old shit, mainboard sends drv_on signal to powerboard, powerboard turns on backlights, no signal no backlight.Leave a comment:

what does DRV_ON to do with BL ????????? this is new to me
sow us the print chart on the PSU of the socket which go to MBLeave a comment:

Test drv_on pin at connector on powerboard, with everything hooked up, does the voltage change when you power up tv.Leave a comment:

Re: LG 49UB850V not switching on / standby LED off / LD701 blinks 5x
Have checked solderpoints, found some suspicious pins and resolderd it. Also have done some additional measurements.
Started with IC3000, responsible for "power on" sequence
If TV is switched on, the IC3000 enables the different voltage regulators. I've measured input signals (from IC3000) and output:
POWER_ON/OFF1 => IC2304 5V => +5V_NORMAL OK
POWER_ON/OFF2_1 => IC2301 3.3V => +3.3V_NORMAL OK
POWER_ON/OFF2_2 => IC2302 2.5V => +2.5V_Normal OK
POWER_ON/OFF2_3 => IC2303 1.5V => NOK PWM/rectangle signal with ~650kHz and 12V Peak
POWER_ON/OFF2_3 => IC2300 1.0V => NOK PWM/rectangle signal with ~340kHz and 12V Peak
POWER_ON/OFF2_4 => IC3409 1.2V => NOK PWM/rectangle signal with ~500kHz and 12V Peak
Any further ideas?Leave a comment:

Thanks for recommendation, will try to check and resolder suspicious joinst.Easy things first, check over the solder joints on powerboard, reflow any that look suspicious, check all the resistors and diodes on top of the board, youtube is your friend for how to videos if needed, examples of bad solder joints there: https://www.google.com/search?client...h=599&dpr=1.09Leave a comment:

LG 49UB850V not switching on / standby LED off / LD701 blinks 5x
Hi,
i'would like to fix my not working LG 49UB850V tv.
Symptoms:
-AC plugged in, Standby LED not working
-Switching on, Standby LED blinks 3x. LD2300 on mainbord lights up and after ~30s LD701 on PWS board starts to blink 5x repetetive
Checked already:
-Powersupply Output in Standby => 3.5V ok
-Switching On => PWR_On on P201 goes high and 3.5/12/24V are present on P201
Any suggestions what to check next?
Thanks in advance!Tags: None

by sam_sam_samI have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... -
by sam_sam_samI have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails
I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time... -
by brithepi2kMy Samsung UE75TU7020k lights up fine when one of the ribbon cables are disconnected from the main board, lights stay on but not getting half a picture, I do the same with the other ribbon and put the other one in and lights stay on but not getting half a picture. The standby light flashes 2 times then reboots then it then tries to come back on again and just keeps looping until I take either one of the ribbon tables out (doesn’t matter which one I take out it stays lit when either one is out). I’ve tested the backlights but all working with none shorting out, I’ve replaced the main board...2 Photos

by cekanayakeI am a noob with some elementary knowledge trying to fix this TV that I have no history on. Any help or guidance will be much appreciated.
When I first examined it was completely dead. saw that the fuse was blown and the ICM801CS blown. I searched and found that the FSFR1800HSL might be the replacement and got one from ebay and replaced it. But when I pulled the ICM801CS I could see the last 3 letters on the blown up part was XSL. So may be I replaced it with the incorrect part. I fixed the fuse and turned it on and it now gives me a standby light blinking twice five times, then clicks... -
by htv239Hello,
I am currently troubleshooting an LG 60UH8500 TV (2016 TV). Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Overall Issue: When TV is turned on, backlights all come on for about 10 seconds, then all go out. There is sound and there is a picture on the display (obviously hard to see without backlights, but it is there).
What I Have Done So Far: 1) Removed the back TV cover to expose the boards (Power Supply, Tcon, and Main), 2) blew out any dust and cleaned all connections, 3) Noticed that the LED backlights are fed from two separate connectors... - Loading...
