Re: LG OLED 55EG9100 won't power on

I did the in-stop reset but after going through the setup process I'm still on 04.06.75.
I'm not familiar with LG service menu etc. so maybe I did something wrong.

Re: LG OLED 55EG9100 won't power on

I noticed that if I play a video it plays almost perfect except for faint horizontal lines. But as soon as I pull up the menu I get this weird distortion on the bottom right. Could this be a possible tcon issue.

Ok, I understand but I need firmware to downgrade. I went to the Korean lg site but can’t find my model or any referenced models. I couldn’t locate it on the Russian site you provided either. The closest I found was 55LF6300-NA but my reference list says I need 55LF6300-UA.
I’m in the US and I believe that’s what the difference is

Ok, my bad. Thanks for clarifying. I didn’t know I could download different country firmware. I didn’t see US listed so I didn’t want to mess anything up.

Re: LG OLED 55EG9100 won't power on

I downloaded the old firmware and opened tv web browser and went to www.webosapp.club/downgrade/
But I get an error and ask if I have LG connect apps enabled.

I do have it enabled but still get the error

Other problem is tv started to randomly cut off and on after a few minutes. So I’m worried it will cut off during the downgrade process and brick it.

By randomly you mean it cuts off after a few minutes every time or sometimes it doesn't cut off, are you sure all your electrolytic caps are ok.

Re: LG OLED 55EG9100 won't power on

The time varies. Sometimes on for a 5-10min sometimes only 1-2 min.

I don’t think it the caps as I test power supply by itself prior to messing with the mainboard.
I thinks it’s related to the glitch on the screen I was having

I did In-stop again and tv stayed on for a while. I downloaded the developer app and then it started to turn off and on again

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                              Assuming...

                              Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                              by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
