    SAMSUNG UE32F4000AW dead no power

    Hello.

    My mother in law turned the TV on it said no signal, she then unpluged the tv plugged it in and big bang happened. After that no led indicator was glowing.

    Took the tv apart and fuse was dead, rectifier is ok, but found the blown blue capacitor near the 9NM60N mosfet between drain and source. Can anyone tell me the value of this cap.

    And the mosfet driver model is unreadable like its spilled with some foggy glue.

    This is my first time trying to repair a TV, any help would be apreciated.

        When this capacitor explodes, it can take this transistor with it, and the transistor takes a bunch of other components with it, you need to check everything carefully!

          All diodes and resistors are ok, no shorted caps arround s3310 mosfet driver
          (cant find the datasheet).

          Mosfet :

          D -> S 0,54V (red probe on source)
          D -> S OL (red probe on drain)
          G -> D OL (black probe on gate)
          G -> S 0,65V (black on gate) resistance 9Kohm
          G -> S 1.2V (red probe on gate) resistance 9Kohm

          Looks like mosfet is dead. Ill replace mosfet and the driver and try then.
          This aluminum heatsing is a pan in the a** to remove, have any tips?

            S3310 = FAN6755W.
            Your mosfet is more likely alive, there is no short circuit.

              I will replace capacitor and fuse and see what happens.

                        Still waiting for the capacitors to arrive. They arrived in my country on 27.05. We have very slow post office. .

                        Once i ordered Gameboy from Japan.
                        It took 4 days to arrive in Croatia and 3 weeks for parcel to travel 2 km air distance from post office hub to my house.

                          I had to order a new set of capacitors because the post office lost the package.

                          They arrived yesterday, soldered a new fuse and cap -> it works

                          Thank you all for help.

                            So you only had to replace one capacitor and the fuse?

                                I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

                                Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

                                I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

                                The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

                                With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                Assuming...

                                Hi all!

                                I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

                                I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                                TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

                                I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

                                A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

                                Samsung QE 75 Q 7 FGMTZG Power Supply dead

                                Hi, have this Samsung QE 75 Q 7 FGMTZG TV with no function. First analysis shows the power supply board is dead and fuse blown. Power Supply has the number BN94-11439A. I did short circuit test transistor and diodes and those do not appear to have shorts. I must admit I did not look at every single data sheet.
                                In the TV was some black dust residue, so probably one of the electrolytic caps blew, but they do not show short either.

                                Does anyone have schematics for that board ?
                                Any good tip, what could be the issue ?

                                TLDNR; Have an old SAMSUNG TV with blown hybrid MOSFET/controller IC on power board to be replaced; replaced blown main capacitor on same power board several years ago successfully, and TV has been working fine since until this IC popped all of a sudden. Want to know what if anything to check on board to make sure before replacing and testing with new IC. Have 2 new matching ICs, DIP socket to make removal/replacement easier, a whole other known-good power board with which to compare, if necessary.
