can anyone tell off hand whether this tv would be worth attempting to fix? it is a lg 50 in plasma

Do you think you can fix this tv?.....I don`t think......I know!....I don`t think you know either! The real answer is...yes you can fix this tv! Start with ribbon cables. Make sure they are seated properly in the control board. ( The board just below the power supply behind the tuner board it will have green leds on it) You want to check the flat cable going to the y drive from the control board. The y drive board is the large board on the left side of the tv as you look at the back of the tv. start with that then give us a model number.
be careful with the connections they are easy to break.Comment

I have just got in a MacBook Pro A2338 which was initially displaying the Apple logo followed by an explanation mark in a circle as described here:- https://support.apple.com/en-gb/102164.
After some error messages attempting to revive and restore the machine via DFU mode i have finally got the machine revived however now the issue seems to be when attempting to install macOS Sequoia via a bootable USB installer or via macOS recovery the machine just keeps freezing and restarting before the installation is complete, usually the installation has just started or is mid way trough before...08-10-2025, 11:04 AM -

I am having Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV. While the TV was working, a crackling sound heard & video went off with audio still ON. After switching it off & ON, the red LED on TV blinks six times & then off.
Opened TV cover & observed foll
a) Green LED on the small PCB blinks at @5-6sec ON & off for 3-4 secs. Red LED on logic board ON
b)Vs & Va on power supply board raises momentarily to 209v & 58v resp & then drops.
c) Cold test on Y-main board shows all 3 pins of FGPF4536 IGBT short to Grnd.

Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults... -
Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.
When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on... -
