2. What does the service manual say the blinking light means?

Re: Samsung Sp-s4243 turn on but no picture
I went through the manual real quick and in the trouble shooting section it states that blank screen means you x or why board is bad or the DC-DC SMPS could be a problem.
I think my problem could be the DC-DC SMPS.
On the manual it says:
"DC-DC SMPS= Blank screen, the Relay repeats On and Off."
Does relay repeat mean led turn on and off?Comment

Re: Samsung Sp-s4243 turn on but no picture
Good morning all I have done all the check points on the main board and dc dc smps board and number were good to the sticker on back of pane. Then on page 58 it to check logic board for proper voltages of 5v,3.3v. How do I check the voltages on that board. Two of the leds light up in a normal pattern first one lights then the other lights up. It is a normal rythm. Should all leds be on?Comment

Re: Samsung Sp-s4243 turn on but no picture
Samsung does not have error code at all.
The lights that you saw on the logic board (this behind the mainboard) is just indictors that they are getting power and active.
With TV unplugged from mains, go over all fuses with meter for open fuse. If found one that is blown, that means the board is shorted out.
Keep us updated.

Re: Samsung Sp-s4243 turn on but no picture
An 'open' fuse is one that has given its life in sacrifice to keep the rest of the circuit from blowing up. The fuse limits current flow, and when there is too much, it melts, opening the circuit that was heretofore closed. There will be infinite [essentially] resistance across the leads of an open fuse.

Re: Samsung Sp-s4243 turn on but no picture
hello everyone i have done all checks points for vs,va,vset, and i got all good numbers. i checked all my fuses. My next question is where would i check to see if my y main board is working or x main board. I also have visualy inspected boards to see any burnt or damaged parts/blown caps and havent seen any. I posted an ad on CL in my area to see if anyone has a tv thats the same so i can replace parts. I would like to learn and try to replace what parts are needed replaced in the boards themselves.Comment

by TR103Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture

- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

by JJAAMMThis was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.
Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode... -
by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by DodgethisHello all,
This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...5 Photos - Loading...
